Thanks @ThePangburn for adding! @Buddha I was thinking it could fall under philosophy as well but a lot of philosophy content goes over my head (clearly haha) and I figured some of the friends I wanted to invite to the discord would probably feel the same but would be interested in some of the ideology topics (mainly ideological movements) also that podcast was amazing, introduced me to Coleman Hughes who I think is phenomenal

@buddha Genn is straightforward but so correct, I think Coleman is hosting Bret on his podcast soon so I'm sure that'll be worth a listen!

I'm going to list a couple ideologies that I disagree with and if anyone wants to engage in further debate on them just shout and I'll elaborate. I strongly disagree with the (weirdly popular) concepts of inherent racism/white privilege, wage gap and particularly employment quotas (ie "diversity" in terms of hiring more women or people of colour) and this strange theme of idolizing the victim that society seems to love these days (Jennifer Eckhart as a recent example.) Any thoughts?

I'm not sure, it wouldn't be "normal" if someone I knew did it but I'm 29 so I have no clue what the high school kids are up to lol

I've worked with people who try to advocate for their kids to be whatever gender, in some cases seem to be pushing their kids for the opposite gender

Definitely, I think the amount of Canadians that are involved with American politics these days is a testament to that

America seems to polarized imo but I envy that you have a strong right, it feels to me that the right in Canada is non-existent (or at least that no one pays attention to them)
