I used to play a more economic style but I've found that all-ins have worked really well for me

Basically I try to crowbar them in the knees as fast as I can. Either that kills them or does significant damage

Zerg's strength is speed, so I like to capitalize on that. They can pull off some nasty all-ins

If you play right you can get 7 roaches, 2 ravagers, and a fuck ton of lings out by 4 minutes

They never know how to react to that

Zerg units are the worst individually, so I find that it's best to ramp up and attack as quickly as possible

You've got to either expand fast or attack fast

The best thing for me is inducing that "oh shit" moment in your opponent

When they see your early army and all their plans go out the window

If you don't outright murder them after the first wave, you transition to 3 base

What makes that build scary is that you get a nice roach ball to punch through their defenses really early
