probably china, but if I had to guess mostly kids and parents themselves so they had an excuse to take them to school

fun fact

most doctors are now agreeing that they don't help kids at all

my aunt who works in public schools is saying that now kids are doing even stupider shit with them

they'll spin em on desks and shoot paper hornets at them

to see where they'll fly off to

and they often hit other kids

they're getting banned pretty quickly

I expect the fad to die within a month or two

my first spinner I actually got from a coworker

he 3d printed them for his son to take to school and sell them

yeah he said it cost him about a buck to make one, considering the 3d printing material and the bearings

and he'd sell them for $5

also I love the youtube comments sometimes

"When I cleaned my bearing with water it got slower it went from spinning 2 minutes to 20 seconds please help"

plastic ones won't work nearly as well

I got a plastic one for $5 after I got the 3d printed one from a dollar store type shop

i had it for less than a day before it fell out of my shallow pocket

then it fell on the ground and one of the spokes cracked

like 5 feet off the pavement

that's it

worst $5 I spent

regardless, out of packaging, it looks pretty nice. made out of rubberized plastic so it's nice to hold

feels nice though, not too much wobble

overall I'd give it a good/10

I swear I lost like 2 minutes of spin time

I got 3 minutes the first spin

now it's barely over a minute
