Fucked

Imagine being a Corona virus auper spreader and being tied to hundreds of infections and dozens of dead people

@DrWittMDPhD Idk, wish I still had the screenshot of the study

There's a certain type of cell in the lunng that Corona virus targets. Asian men have the most, whites the least and everyone else inbetween

It's probably as contagious to whites but it's less likely to kill you

@DrWittMDPhDYes, that's the same receptor I'm talking about

Lol

This is probably one of the worst sicknesses to have ever existed and people are still delusional about it

@Malac it literally isn't

@Malac Dude

This disease is so much worse than Sars that they aren't even realistically comparable

@DrWittMDPhD From what I'm hearing it appears to be much more lethal than thought based on Iranian cases

We'll know for aure soon with S Korea have 2k cases

I'm assuming to the fatality rate is probably 5% I developed nations, maybe 2% in really nice places

@Steyr "Thick" Shotgun Combine that with possible sterilization and reinfection...

Chaos could easily kill anothe 10 million

Starvation

Etc

Nobody should panic

Just get ready

No

Literally just buy 30 dollars of shelf stable food and bottled water

In case you need to stay inside for a month

I don't have any of that

Because you're right

@grim looks good

This could potentially kill a billion people

I'm worried about my dad getting it

He has sleep apnea

@Steyr "Thick" Shotgun Is that everywhere?

@Steyr "Thick" Shotgun probably nowhere near accurate

Tbh

Probably is worse than that

Holy shit

That's very sketchy if real

@Irreversal Means you're way nore likely to die than live

I wrote a new poem a few days ago about the UK rape crisis

There's also a reading on YT

Link is in that post

Yeah, I hear that a lot

The reading is probably better

What do you have in mind?

Idk, I've written so many poems at this point

And people like my simpler stuff much better

Because it has more rhythm

Sometimes you have to compromise between meaning and form

I've been writing it for 20 years or so lol

Idk about that

I just find meter to be sorta boring and it's much more difficult to convey real meaningful things

It's not really how my mind works

Idk, I don't see anyone else doing it

Did you guys read my thing on eugenics?

@Ares Idk, I don't really count everything as poetry and I don't feel like a lot of people really do.

I'd say you use it when people consider you to be a poet

That's really what it is

How people see you

Idk, let me see if I can find one where I tried to keep better rhythm

We get it, art is bad

Which is why I favor writing highly descriptive poems with less rhythm

Typically my stanzas have the rhythm

@Ares I'm planning on reading some more poetry

I'm not as well read in poetry as I am in everything else

@Seven Proxies We're literally talking, specifically, about the poem I wrote which I posted for you above

Idk, poetry is pretty dead

I find it to be sad

I blame rap though

Not free verse

@Seven Proxies how do you feel about songs?

How do we set ourselves free?
How do I break the chains that bind me?

You tried to control the tide
But it just won't subside
You tried to control my mind
But I won't abide

Now is the time for action
Nah, fuck that; this is a revolution.

We won't let you destroy the future
And take our lives away
no restitution for eugenicists
Only annihilation

Give me freedom of association
Give me self determination

Not more post modern mechanisms
No more tyrannical abstractions
I guess you'll have to kill me for blasphemy
Cull me for the PC ideology.

Smash affirmative action
Destroy the system of oppression

How do I control the tide?
I will take what's mine
How do I turn back time?
And set it all right

----

Here's the last song I wrote

I just don't understand who you're even talking about

I've never been a huge fan of reading poetry, ngl

I've read some but not extensively

Kanye is a dumb nigger and doesn't even write his own lyrics

@Ares Wait, what do you think of the song?

@Seven Proxies I'm sure there are a thousand examples of famous poets who were much more humble

How do we set ourselves free?
How do I break the chains that bind me?

You tried to control the tide
But it just won't subside
You tried to control my mind
But I won't abide

Now is the time for action
Nah, fuck that; this is a revolution.

We won't let you destroy the future
And take our lives away
no restitution for eugenicists
Only annihilation

Give me freedom of association
Give me self determination

Not more post modern mechanisms
No more tyrannical abstractions
I guess you'll have to kill me for blasphemy
Cull me for the PC ideology.

Smash affirmative action
Destroy the system of oppression

How do I control the tide?
I will take what's mine
How do I turn back time?
And set it all right

Tbh, I couldn't imagine even wanting to write poetry as a career

I would agree that it's a pastime

I'm much more interested in writing philosophy or fiction

Idk, I'm probably somewhat up my own butt as a philosopher

But it's practically all I do

So I guess you're going to be up your ass about what you do the most

Unless you're unnaturally humble

I've been picking through this lately

@Seven Proxies Did you listen to the reading of my poem?

Or I guess you just gave up and yet are saying things like "why does none of it excite me"?

"Men, not great enough, nor hard enough, to be entitled as artists to take part in fashioning MAN; men, not sufficiently strong and far-sighted to ALLOW, with sublime self-constraint, the obvious law of the thousandfold failures and perishings to prevail; men, not sufficiently noble to see the radically different grades of rank and intervals of rank that separate man from man:โ€”SUCH men, with their "equality before God," have hitherto swayed the destiny of Europe; until at last a dwarfed, almost ludicrous species has been produced, a gregarious animal, something obliging, sickly, mediocre, the European of the present day." - Friedrich Nietzsche

I'm about to start working on my book again
