mechanical keyboards

or you mean DIY kits or whatever?

cant find the right keyboard ... such a first world problem haha

wage jihad on apple

you should have admiration for apple then .. penny pinching, extreme profit margins, advanced scheming for planned obsolescence

you would think apple is run by jews

well being anti israel is not necessarily anti semitic

i dont see how that follows. Being against the actions of some state doesn't mean that you hate the religion/race of the inhabitants

fair enough

it comes down to their personal beliefs/motivations

i suppose im giving the benefit of the doubt

the palestinians in gaza/west bank are currently winning the oppression olympics against israel, so the progressives sympathize with them

yes, although there is a significant conservative religious hardline segment with a decent amount of political power

i had a hilarious "argument" with a pro palestinian person once

you just ask a few questions and they rant and rage

it seems easiest to focus on the fact that hamas is the bigger problem

once you can get them to admit that

they use human shields ffs

i meet a lot of persians in my current work, they love their country but typically hate the regime

and the women _never_ wear hijab

these are typically educated people who are able to gtfo, so its a little biased

even on the ground though, people in "down with america" demonstrations there openly admit they have nothing against american people, just their government lol

that wouldnt surprise me honeslty

i could go, i just want to wait until my passport is almost expired, so i can get a new one in case they stamp it

otherwise going to the US will be an issue

im sure your scales would be a dead giveaway

_shhhhh_

james bond would bring it all down though

man the stuff they believe is really out there

everything that happens in the world can be explained by them as some kind of conspiracy

even the jews have disowned soros

non-jews do the same shit

wealthy "elites" with no moral compass

connections and the ability to get away with it

basically ... usually just a vocal minority

i know two dudes from israel, one is a kippa wearing, beard sporting, tassle wearing super-jew, the other is from tel aviv and doesn 't give a fuck about religion

hes a work colleague, thats the only reason

nice guy, but i dont get into political/religious convos with him lol

i asked my other israeli buddy if he wanted to meet him, he said no way hahaha

latex CV is best CV

the line from NYT and herself was that she made these tweets in a trolling fashion (against people who were harassing her) and that she didn't mean it

2018-08-02 19:08:06 UTC [Subverse #newsroom]

believable / not believable?

2018-08-02 19:08:34 UTC [Subverse #newsroom]

i agree that context matters, but when its someone the left doesnt like, context doesnt always apply. seems like a bit of a double standard

2018-08-02 19:11:02 UTC [Subverse #newsroom]

generally i would say no, one should avoid sacrificing their principles unless the circumstances are extreme

2018-08-02 19:11:10 UTC [Subverse #newsroom]

this i wouldnt count as extreme

2018-08-02 19:12:12 UTC [Subverse #newsroom]

link to alinsky explanation? not familiar

2018-08-02 19:13:08 UTC [Subverse #newsroom]

Saul Alinsky?

stellaris

AI field and NIPS gettin' WOKE

what is your age range?

alright

like if you were still in high school, idk

i suppose that would be a more formal approach to computer science and programming. alternatively, you could just jump into some coding tutorials

but i think its helpful to have a bit of conceptual background and understand what computational thinking is

how to approach solving problems from the perspective of a computer or algorithm

SQL is a very specific language

personally i would probably suggest Python

there are many resources, tutorials and courses online, but the most important thing is to just keep coding, studying and practicing

programming can very much be seen as an art, you won't git gud unless you practice

also install a linux VM and get familiar with the terminal

haha

unintentional ๐Ÿ˜›

yes

assuming you run windows currently

just use Ubuntu

it is the most beginner friendly linux

win10 is good man, but i find a lot of tutorials, projects and stuff will assume you are using a *nix machine

i interned at MSR and got used to visual studio, its actually fucking great

well linux is free for one

lol

linux can be much more lightweight in terms of CPU usage, basically every open source project runs on it

out of the box it's a more hospitable programming environment

basically yeah

its the layer between your applications and the processor hardware and memory

the actual mechanics of how the exploits worked is fairly complex

this isnt stuff you really need to know tbh ๐Ÿ˜›

probably wouldnt hurt to be familiar with IT and programming

well

depends on the school and program

a program in forensic accounting? yeah probably not

๐Ÿ‘ป

yeah, you always learn the most from doing actual projects and building actual systems

at least in terms of becoming a better programmer

never looked into discord bots, idk

not sure i agree with that

a lot of solid and serious systems using python

i tend to use it for quick and dirty stuff, and scripting, but then most of what i do now is performance focused, and its all c++

but then you have the AI and machine learning people and all they use is python

yes

the syntax is less cryptic than other languages

ehhh ... you just need to code some programs ๐Ÿ˜‰

lol stackoverflow is every programmers best friend

here are some simple projects to get started

but you should start with a python "hello world" tutorial

because it sounds like you starting from absolute zero programming

i have heard good things about this "book"
