I think whatever the hell they think they (liberals) are doing in VA is intentional, whether it's a dry run for a planned larger scale national attempt confiscation (VA is a very common political test bed) or if they think something else is going to happen and in their eyes, justify the taking of guns as some sort of public welfare policy to thwart the [insert some disaster, emergency or event], I say that because I know politics, I'm a recovering bureaucrat 😢, even at the state level, hell, even at the state and larger city level, bill's dont just get written by a single lowly politician, they are written by lawyers, legislation firms, and most importantly, feasibility and viability studies as well as the obligatory market research study that ***WOULD HAVE TOLD THEM*** exactly how we would have reacted- I mean at this level, NOTHING is left to chance and nothing gets a committee's blessing or the whips nod without a vast paper trail.

The question is, WHY would they do this, knowing the possibility of a literal war.

In the words of some guy, if they want to take your guns, its usually because they plan to do something that would get them shot.

I worked for three Republican Senators and a Libertarian (don't be hatin') state representative, the leftwing equivalent of these horrible proposed laws would be if Starbucks and Planned Parenthood were shut down and the outlawing of all posters of Che Guevara.. @Alek#8013 I am saying that this whole gun control push is an orchestrated inducement of chaos, and I'd hedge my bets on them being fully aware of the stakes. The way Northam, and others, particularly the Democrats already in office in the Virginia legislature are acting is contrary to their presumable intent, which is unknown aside from the legislation itself. Politicians never intentionally put themselves in harm's way, they are mostly selfish creatures and cowards, they make the French look brave af.

TLDR; There is an (unknown) ulterior motive, something bigger than Virginia, and something far more organized and concerted than a typical out of session series of bills, that's what has peaked my political autism, it doesn't make sense, not even Democrats are this blind, in fact, I'd say they are more politically savvy than the other side.
