btw i've been watching Russia Today on TV a while back

they have this documentary on how Facebook manipulates your decisions through the things they show you

even google

At first it's as simple as choosing which shampoo to use, or which dog food to buy

and then it goes as far as like which candidate to vote

I mean, liberals and conservatives are already decided, but the influence of google and facebook on moderates is just too high

no like... say you want to search for "what is a good dog to adopt" and then they may have the power to actually manipulate the results esp on what goes on top of the first page

it then goes as far as like "which candidate to vote?" esp for the undecided
studies show that google results tend to lean towards democratic candidates during the 2016 elections

yeah.... there's also this weaponization of fake news

idk... our campus is a bit conservative (well it's in the Philippines soo.. and controlled by moderate muslims)
and I think you have to get a permit to post posters
