Reminder that the US used actual concentration camps

To vaccinate the Phillipines population

We termed concentration camps btw

Fuck you, Germany

THAT WAS OUR WORD

Barrett's most famous 2A dissent argues that non-violent felonies can't remove your 2A rights

The senate vote is secured

Also THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS 'BACKSTABBING'

Once pushed to the supreme court you are to uphold the constitution of the united states, not the president that elevated you

glad to see you have zero power and can't even read your own court cases, my guy

My only complaint about Barrett is her bizarre papistry

Fuck those beholden to popery

>completely absurd

Trump is nowhere near a golden apple when it comes to constitutionality or legality

If he gets fucked in the courts - so be it

That's his own fault

Merits of the case, not the individual

weren't you the guy claiming that the US entered WW1 at the behest of bribery from the 'queen' last night

Or was that another brainlet

If you'd like an absolutely clean pro-constitutionalist candidate for the courts, de-age Ron Paul by 60 years and have him go to law school

As it is you're stuck with shades of gray

Alternatively, be the change you'd like to see and enter into the federal court system yourself

I will be patiently waiting another decade for an anti-AWB/mag ban case to be heard, myself

It quite literally means nothing to me if the GOP holds the senate or the presidency

Perhaps they'd like to actually do something with the majority they'd held before

Instead of fucking nothing - including banning bump stocks

Or passing the HPA

Or any number of various causes they could've supported and passed the house during the '16-18 season but didn't

Also, I'm lifting rn, but it would appear that the case was extremely poorly framed and didn't actually address 14th amendment claims

Similiar things have occured with a multitude of recent 2nd amendment cases where the plaintiffs have failed to ask for relief to a specific party or class

California's mag ban challenges seem to be the *best* argued, in comparison, so good on them in that circuit

Once again - one of the few actual powers of government consistently agreed upon for centuries is quarantine and public health enforcement

As I stated before - we've used literal concentration camps and herding people at gunpoint in midnight raids to enforce it

Literal centuries of legal precedent to go against if you suddenly want quarantine to be a non-enforceable act

I recommend you read on the subject, in fact, it's quite fascinating

Marine surgeon general's office used to be in charge of going around south and throwing people into quarantine jail to forestall the spread of smallpox

Coincidentally how they figured out the difference between variola major/variola minor

I had some snippets from the book that really hit 'peak medical horror' about the civil war

'During the battle of Chancellorsville in May 1863, five thousand Confederate soldiers were deemed unfit for duty after being vaccinated with material taken from the arm of a soldier who, as luck would have it, had syphilis.'

Oh here it is, had it on telegram

We used to have some legendary race riots over smallpox too

The use of militarized concentration camps and mass vaccination in the Phillipines wiped out smallpox there into the late '30s

Considered (while a humanitarian disaster) one of the greatest successes of medicine at the time - they also did a massive city-cleaning/swamp clearance campaign, hedging bets on a miasmatic origin for disease (simultaneously wiping out cholera/dysentery/good amount of malarial diseases)

/end history degree autism rant

I just applied for that FEMA job

They pay off $7k in college debt

Anyone who fell for that was smallbrain anyway considering *his poorly photoshopped hair passing through the pillow*

Can I discuss something I absolutely hate

Okay, read this article here.

Tell me the issues you spot in it

Some of my favorites are
- quotes from *former Stasi reporting taken as fact without a single alternative source*
- former head of the German domestic intelligence agency alleging that the East had no domestic intelligence service in place
- exclusively citing literal grifter organizations and leaders of organizations devoted to "denazificiation" without addressing the obvious conflicts of interests in the subject
- alleging, again via former Stasi agent reporting, that East German democracy protests were infiltrated by neo-Nazis and, via implication, that all following protests using the same slogan are a result of neo-nazi activity

- alleging that the entire AFD are neo-Nazis without a shred of proof

Etc etc etc

Not a single source provided for these claims, either, beyond interviews with these 'anti-racist' organizers

On top of that - the failure to mention that Western neo-nazi groups and communist terrorist cells BOTH received funding via the East German and Soviet government

And a failure to mention the *decades* of high casualty terrorism by the Red Faction, for example

I fucking hate 'reporters' so much, bros

It's unreal

Based postal workers

Hrmm yes today I will not deliver mail and dump it into the passaic river before heading to Rutz for lunch

<:excellent:762421932163072011>

(I live in the area where this happened)

All the mail carriers around here are good people

But the ones doing transshipment of mail/packages and working the counters should hang
