Want to paint new FAL, but can't decide between tiger stripe and splotchy

Friend's is rhodie painted tiger stripe and your eyes seem to naturally skip over it in the brush, but my other FAL is splotch and seems like it would make more sense since there's not a lot of natural firm lines in nature
