Dem feels when you want to get Soviet issued kit when you deploy to Afghan, but will only find chinesium.

How much kit do we need to post to get out of the newfags group?

Aside from mags, the pistol, and IFAK (all packed for deployment), anything else y’all recommend?

Pack is Mystery Ranch MSOB Komodo Dragon, water goes into nalgenes on pack.

Weapons and comms are at the armory, but personal kit is a velocity system APC, First Spear E&E fanny pack for IFAK.

Pack gets dropped at the Support by Fire Position, I never really liked the camelbak on PC. I’ve had too many break and the tube has always annoyed me. I’ll keep that in my pack for movements, but not much else.

I have an old soft TACO I can throw into the belt for the nalgene. Good call.

I use the padded belt for range training, I have a lower profile First Spear AGB with mirrored set up for assaults

I have a padded insert for them that goes in my larger GP pouch on the chest rig

I have the basic issued kit, but my unit is authorized damned near anything we want in so long as it meets the color/PPE protection levels. Only thing we cannot swap is the armor

Right now, helping train a partner nation force. I have all the usual PPE and kit, but we are dependent on locals/contractors for security. We have thought about building “boom bags” filled with mags and frags for VBIED/complex attack response.

Aside from that, it’s all Semper comfy, so whatever bullshit you guys like for making 130F days and 90F nights tolerable/enjoyable.

We actually thought about a pool. Apparently the locals have been using human waste as fertilizer and it has been running into the ground supply. Boss didn’t want us wasting purified water on a pool or sitting in shit water, so it got canked.

Just get the JPC2.0 and get two of them when you can afford it. The fabric around the plate bags and shoulder straps was updated for better wear.
