Anyone been following the Norway/Nintendo story?

Probably on the other side of the US for most people, but, has anyone heard about the new Infosec bill being proposed in Georgia?

From what I can gather, Georgia lawmakers are pushing a bill that would make identifying vulnerabilities in computer systems by independent researchers illegal, facing up to a year in jail.

@MySatellite Think of it like this, let's say you worked at tech firm, and you hired me to check whether there were any back doors to your software. Given I would be an independent contractor, that bill would make what I did illegal, even though there was no mal-intent, and the work I did was for security reasons.

Leave it to Georgia. This is going to open a huge can of worms if it passes.
