Even if the Conservatives aren't very conservative, the party itself represents Conservatism, due to its history, for those who aren't as aware of the political climate, so those who are looking for a conservative party will vote Conservative as they are the most familiar and most likely to win.

If the party then shows it is not as conservative as they are supposed to be, that opens the way for PPC to fill in the gap.

The last thing we need is another globalist party running the country into the ground.

Best thing for the country would be like, Bernier becomes leader of the Conservatives, and an election is called.

I would love for PPC to displace the Cons, but they can't get popular fast enough, and part of that is that they get shit on and shadow banned by the media and Liberal government.

If Bernier becomes leader of the Cons, then they're forced to pay attention to him since Cons have an established voter base.
