I used to be a power-trippy manager of people IRL so I understand. Sometimes you learn the hard way.

You don't really notice it, the ego takes over. It's when you start getting backlash and resentment from your team that you realize something's wrong.

A good leader earns respect by doing what's right.

Exactly. Plus when you don't allow others to question your actions, you know your ego has taken over.

Anyone actually, but especially a leader, should welcome criticism. How else do you become a better?
