Do you even have a Gsync monitor?

2018-03-13 20:02:34 UTC

why would i need a gsync monitor

2018-03-13 20:02:38 UTC

Oof

2018-03-13 20:02:49 UTC

my sli runs games at 300fps <:GWragFeelsComfyMan:390321740158468096>

2018-03-13 20:03:03 UTC

imagine having a system so shitty you need gsync

2018-03-13 20:04:53 UTC

With Gsync the frametimes are even, and screen tearing is inexistent. Having higher fps than refresh rate causes tearing. Vsync and even FastSync cause noticeable latency and fastsync has stuttering issues. Gsync makes the most out of having a higher frame rate than refresh rate as well as lower. So the 99th percentile is irrelevant.

2018-03-13 20:05:43 UTC

yes i used to have tearing all the time when i was using a shitty monitor

2018-03-13 20:05:59 UTC

0 tearing with big brain esports monitor

2018-03-13 20:06:34 UTC

There is no way you don't get tearing just because it's a good monitor

2018-03-13 20:06:43 UTC

It has to do with the display output

2018-03-13 20:07:01 UTC

Better monitor helps no doubt, but it isn't eliminated.

2018-03-13 20:07:02 UTC

im telling you i know what tearing is

2018-03-13 20:07:05 UTC

the display has nothing to do with tearing

2018-03-13 20:07:24 UTC

I can turn Gsync off and I have noticeable tearing in movement scenes

2018-03-13 20:07:35 UTC

so how does gsync help with tearing if the display has nothing to do with it

2018-03-13 20:07:58 UTC

I think that your lack of Gsync with the higher refresh rate has desensitized you from seeing tearing

2018-03-13 20:08:04 UTC

if neither of your monitors had gsync, that question is irrelevant

2018-03-13 20:08:05 UTC

If you went to Gsync and back you'd notice it

2018-03-13 20:08:19 UTC

I have Gsync 165hz 2K IPS

2018-03-13 20:08:24 UTC

i notice it going between monitors

2018-03-13 20:08:43 UTC

its not hard to notice screen tearing

2018-03-13 20:09:16 UTC

It's more subtle at a higher refresh rate, but with higher resolution it's fuckin everywhere

2018-03-13 20:09:27 UTC

i can load up csgo right now and run around the map and get tearing on one monitor and nothing on the other

2018-03-13 20:09:35 UTC

That's not possible

2018-03-13 20:09:48 UTC

What are the specs of the other monitor

2018-03-13 20:10:34 UTC

Thanks, that may help him understand he doesn't have a magic monitor

2018-03-13 20:10:35 UTC

i have a stack of monitors on a rack which one do you want me to use <:GWfroggyPepoSmug:398570232647647242>

2018-03-13 20:10:47 UTC

What were you comparing before

2018-03-13 20:11:04 UTC

regular prosumer monitors

2018-03-13 20:11:24 UTC

"regular"
"prosumer"

2018-03-13 20:11:25 UTC

What specs? 60hz TN 1080?

2018-03-13 20:11:42 UTC

those two words don't belong in the same sentence

2018-03-13 20:11:48 UTC

Lol

2018-03-13 20:12:02 UTC

idk what youre even asking at this point

2018-03-13 20:12:15 UTC

you want me to write out every monitor ive used

2018-03-13 20:12:29 UTC

what are the specs of the two monitors you're referring to

2018-03-13 20:12:50 UTC

are they both 1080p 60hz, and TN panels?

2018-03-13 20:13:18 UTC

also, same cable?

2018-03-13 20:13:40 UTC

One is supposedly a 144hz 2K god monitor without Gsync and the other is supposedly 60hz 1080

2018-03-13 20:13:46 UTC

From my assumption

2018-03-13 20:13:50 UTC

who calls it 2k

2018-03-13 20:13:56 UTC

Me

2018-03-13 20:14:00 UTC

call it 1440p

2018-03-13 20:14:12 UTC

I'll call the resolution I use whatever I goddamn want lawl

2018-03-13 20:14:15 UTC

lol

2018-03-13 20:14:29 UTC

I'll call it 3GAY to make you happy

2018-03-13 20:14:31 UTC

both of my BenQ RL2455HM's are great

2018-03-13 20:14:39 UTC

honestly love em

2018-03-13 20:14:47 UTC

I have 1x Acer XB271HU

2018-03-13 20:15:01 UTC

sorta wish I got a RL2755HM

2018-03-13 20:15:05 UTC

those are nice,

2018-03-13 20:15:21 UTC

maybe if I go for triple monitors, I'll buy a 27 inch RL monitor

2018-03-13 20:16:25 UTC

i was using a 30" dell ultrasharp before this one i think

2018-03-13 20:16:28 UTC

I seriously can't wait for 2080Ti though

2018-03-13 20:16:29 UTC

honestly cant remember

2018-03-13 20:16:41 UTC

Gonna rock my monitor with that thing asap

2018-03-13 20:16:51 UTC

1x aio watercooled

2018-03-13 20:17:08 UTC

2080ti in 2020

2018-03-13 20:17:13 UTC

with $3000 price tag

2018-03-13 20:17:31 UTC

I won't do multiple GPU's unless dx12 multiGPU support actually becomes a thing rather than a continuous lost dream.

2018-03-13 20:17:51 UTC

2020? You mean November 2018? Lol

2018-03-13 20:17:57 UTC

And $800 price likely

2018-03-13 20:17:59 UTC

its not gonna be in november

2018-03-13 20:18:00 UTC

lmao

2018-03-13 20:18:08 UTC

It almost always is

2018-03-13 20:18:08 UTC

the regular cards arent even out

2018-03-13 20:18:16 UTC

Otherwise it'll be next year in January

2018-03-13 20:18:20 UTC

Like last time

2018-03-13 20:18:27 UTC

2080 is rumored to be 1500

2018-03-13 20:18:30 UTC

When it was December

2018-03-13 20:18:31 UTC

<:GWjiangoPepeFedora:389447036329656323>

2018-03-13 20:18:35 UTC

Rumors

2018-03-13 20:18:37 UTC

gl on that 800$ price point

2018-03-13 20:18:41 UTC

Other rumors say 700

2018-03-13 20:18:58 UTC

Your rumors are just sourced from gay ppl

2018-03-13 20:19:05 UTC

Mine are sourced from marketing history

2018-03-13 20:19:25 UTC

yeah like your benchmarks

2018-03-13 20:19:37 UTC

"100 fps is fine on my 165hz monitor"

2018-03-13 20:21:00 UTC

I mean, if I'm being honest with myself unlike you, yes, 100fps is fine.

2018-03-13 20:21:11 UTC

Some people would argue that 60 is fine lmao

2018-03-13 20:21:26 UTC

You're just a raging retordle

2018-03-13 20:21:36 UTC

You want more than is practical

2018-03-13 20:21:52 UTC

You don't really get that much more out of 165 than 100 with Gsync

2018-03-13 20:22:05 UTC

And I'd know from personal experience

2018-03-13 20:22:12 UTC

Because

2018-03-13 20:23:06 UTC

I left the Gsync sticker on to impress the dickladies

2018-03-13 20:23:35 UTC

ah yes

2018-03-13 20:23:37 UTC

gsync

2018-03-13 20:23:44 UTC

makes 100hz into 165hz

2018-03-13 20:23:46 UTC

Something that you don't even understand

2018-03-13 20:23:48 UTC

<:GWfroggyBlobSweat:398569211242479627>

2018-03-13 20:24:05 UTC

why do you need gsync buddy

2018-03-13 20:24:12 UTC

your comptuer cant even run 165hz

2018-03-13 20:24:13 UTC

do you even know how Gsync works and what frametimes are relative to framerate?

2018-03-13 20:24:37 UTC

I have a 1070, I can run plenty of things over 100 lol

2018-03-13 20:24:44 UTC

Petty retarded insults

2018-03-13 20:24:51 UTC

tfw silky smooth performance at 144hz <:GWjustinFeelsCozyMan:400751440450158593>
