Because they tend to think countries don't need societal cohesion

2020-02-27 00:19:33 UTC

Turning point USA celebrated when Nick Fuentes got banned. They don't really care.

2020-02-27 00:19:49 UTC

Im more or less libertarian and i believe in the need for societal cohesion

2020-02-27 00:20:18 UTC

I just dont think culture can be government mandated

2020-02-27 00:20:33 UTC

Its a community thing to uphold

2020-02-27 00:20:46 UTC

Yeah, but many with the "I just want to be left alone" mindset ignore that when you leave society alone

2020-02-27 00:20:48 UTC

it goes to the left

2020-02-27 00:21:09 UTC

Either way we are kinda just circlejerking here

2020-02-27 00:21:17 UTC

What we need is what are we doing going forward

2020-02-27 00:21:38 UTC

We're not circlejerking if we are discussing and occasionally disagreeing lol

2020-02-27 00:21:50 UTC

Circlejerk is agreement with no substance

2020-02-27 00:22:21 UTC

I just didn't want to get caught up in just complaining like those I get upset with

2020-02-27 00:22:50 UTC

The best way to stay optimistic is to keep looking for how to improve it rather than pointing the problems

2020-02-27 00:23:56 UTC

Culture can certainly be influenced by government interference. It seems our government has been largely indifferent when it comes to cultural matters, only endorsing new changes (i.e. gay marriage) when they become wildly popular.

2020-02-27 00:24:30 UTC

In Hungary, the govt. initiated a massive fertility program that increase fertility rates.

2020-02-27 00:24:32 UTC

I do what any one man can. I talk about shit. I hold certain values publicly, both politically and not. For better or worse my friends know i stand for personal responsibility for example, and i back it up. I have a good marriage and will teach my children

2020-02-27 00:24:55 UTC

I stay up to date and educated and write to politicians

2020-02-27 00:24:56 UTC

I am among friends now

2020-02-27 00:25:08 UTC

A picture of Eric carimella

2020-02-27 00:25:12 UTC

In China, for the worse, the government destroyed old Chinese ideas such as Confucianism.

2020-02-27 00:25:50 UTC

So, it's highly plausible that culture is influenced by government, among other things.

2020-02-27 00:26:13 UTC

Im not saying it cant be im saying it shouldnt be

2020-02-27 00:26:28 UTC

Even when corporations decide to push gender theory?

2020-02-27 00:26:36 UTC

Correct.

2020-02-27 00:27:11 UTC

Ideally that corporation would go woke go broke

2020-02-27 00:28:30 UTC

If not, its one thing to be influenced by Mao telling you to submit or die, its another to be influenced by some mandatory seminars and subliminal ads.

2020-02-27 00:28:51 UTC

Gucci, for example, hasn't seen a major decline in profits, yet they recently launched an ad campaign whose central idea was "gender-fluidity".

2020-02-27 00:28:53 UTC

If people gave it a second thought they wouldnt be influenced

2020-02-27 00:29:15 UTC

Either that or they want to be influenced for another reason

2020-02-27 00:29:47 UTC

The average person isn't culturally conservative, so it's not like they care if Google promotes globo-homo.

2020-02-27 00:30:13 UTC

You cant outlegislate ignorance. If you can combat it at all, its through the community

2020-02-27 00:33:07 UTC

The objective wouldn't be to out-legislate apathy. It would be to prevent companies from pushing destructive cultural changes.

2020-02-27 00:34:30 UTC

Too idealistic for today's government, obviously, but a conservative culture is superior to a liberal one.

2020-02-27 00:35:00 UTC

sperm banks are degenerate and need to be banned, change my mind

2020-02-27 00:35:09 UTC

If the PEOPLE cant be trusted with preventing companies from destroying culture, what makes you think outsourcing that responsibility to the government is any safer? If people are apathetic the govt will use that power to corrupt culture as well

2020-02-27 00:35:20 UTC

And how so?

2020-02-27 00:35:24 UTC

By pushing open borders?

2020-02-27 00:35:30 UTC

oh shit yall are actually having a intellectual debate nvm

2020-02-27 00:35:38 UTC

Sperm Banks should be considered child abuse actually

2020-02-27 00:35:48 UTC

Unless you are married

2020-02-27 00:35:52 UTC

A company has economic reasons for pushing degenerate liberal things, because consumerism and open-borders generate huge profits.

2020-02-27 00:36:06 UTC

Putting a kid in a scenario without a father is so beyond fucked

2020-02-27 00:36:10 UTC

Imagine being that selfish

2020-02-27 00:36:24 UTC

I do agree, to an extent, that a government could be culturally destructive, like in China.

2020-02-27 00:37:11 UTC

A govt need only keep corporate interests domestic, not control the attitudes that make corporations capable of pursuing certain things

2020-02-27 00:38:32 UTC

you know what caused companies to become so evil

2020-02-27 00:38:35 UTC

at least partially

2020-02-27 00:38:46 UTC

Making them legally have to maximize profits

2020-02-27 00:39:04 UTC

if they aren't fully owned by one person

2020-02-27 00:39:12 UTC

I'm not advocating for a general or vague cultural filter, I'm advocating for a specific ban on certain destructive things.

2020-02-27 00:39:20 UTC

It's possible, like with smoking for example.

2020-02-27 00:39:38 UTC

We stopped smoking ads, and it had an effect on # of smokers.

2020-02-27 00:40:17 UTC

Hard disagree. Theyre not always maximizing profits anymore anyway, they pursue personal agendas. Soros is technically influencing them as a person, much like we have the power to do in the aggregate.

2020-02-27 00:40:52 UTC

I mean, their personal agenda barely costs them a fraction of their total profits.

2020-02-27 00:41:03 UTC

They have money to spare, especially to influence the nation.

2020-02-27 00:41:27 UTC

Well ChrisTiam, i hope someday a govt doesnt decide conservatism or gun ownership are "destructive" habits that need to be banned.

2020-02-27 00:43:16 UTC

Like I said, specific bans on the ability to PUSH habits, not the habits themselves.

2020-02-27 00:43:17 UTC

Whats common sense for me is not common sense for another. Lets sort it out as a community, not enforced under punishment of law

2020-02-27 00:44:14 UTC

Like it or not, half the nation would find you destructive. You dont want to give the govt the power to act on that sentiment right now

2020-02-27 00:44:58 UTC

Heck, a solid quarter wouldnt mind to see you dead

2020-02-27 00:46:54 UTC

"Its not illegal to own a gun, but advocating gun ownership is pushing a dangerous habit, ban it"

2020-02-27 00:47:10 UTC

A generation later, guns are banned anyway

2020-02-27 00:47:43 UTC

The government would be able to do that now if Democrats had complete control.

2020-02-27 00:47:52 UTC

The reason why this hasn't been done is because of plurality.

2020-02-27 00:48:56 UTC

Well its unconstitutional... not that they care i suppose. But the answer is 1776, not flipping back and forth on who forces who to do what

2020-02-27 00:50:24 UTC

This was aimed at younger audiences, as described by GUCCI themselves.

2020-02-27 00:51:24 UTC

The fact that companies are allowed the freedom to push this propaganda at children is why I hold my position.

2020-02-27 00:52:25 UTC

The government, in theory, has as much power as the people gives it.

2020-02-27 00:53:40 UTC

I know, for a fact, that many people would be angry if the government banned propagations of gun culture

2020-02-27 00:54:38 UTC

However, even in a pluralistic society, I don't think, for a second, that anyone defends what's shown in this video.

2020-02-27 00:54:57 UTC

A lot would be angry if you banned that too. But what matters is any normal person is disgusted just like you and i. How do we keep society normal? Community values

2020-02-27 00:55:52 UTC

I don't know if that's enough, is all I'm saying. My generation, at such a young age, doesn't really care for traditional values.

2020-02-27 00:56:38 UTC

I actually share your concern. I dont know if its enough, but from my perspective its all i got

2020-02-27 00:56:52 UTC

Most people are too apathetic as well, most boycotts fail miserably because no one commits anymore.

2020-02-27 00:57:42 UTC

Democracy is the worst form of government, except for every other form of government <:trumpmoji:624684793036275730>

2020-02-27 00:58:04 UTC

Democracy meaning republic ofc

2020-02-27 00:58:34 UTC

The constitution can be suspended using a national emergency iirc

2020-02-27 00:58:53 UTC

patriot act lets the government ignore citizenship if deemed a terrorist

2020-02-27 00:59:01 UTC

lmao

2020-02-27 00:59:03 UTC

"rights"

2020-02-27 00:59:11 UTC

We have rights because we aren't a threat

2020-02-27 00:59:35 UTC

Not do be all doomer on you, but that's the current state of the government

2020-02-27 00:59:44 UTC

They own the laws and the means of enforcing them through courts

2020-02-27 00:59:52 UTC

Selectively

2020-02-27 01:00:06 UTC

But hopefully we change it after the second term

2020-02-27 01:00:18 UTC

We did a lot to fight their courts already in the first term

2020-02-27 01:00:32 UTC

Actually the reason we have rights is precisely BECAUSE we are a threat. Try to take them away, you have a problem. If they disarm us, different story.

2020-02-27 01:01:01 UTC

FBI raids you if you are a threat

2020-02-27 01:01:05 UTC

and the court gag orders you

2020-02-27 01:01:08 UTC

They also ruled the US govt. can ignore constitutional rights during wartime when they imprisoned Japanese-Americans in WW2.

2020-02-27 01:01:26 UTC

That case is overturned btw. Koramatsu

2020-02-27 01:01:46 UTC

They'll just put you on a FBI suspected terrorist list instead

2020-02-27 01:02:23 UTC

Well i guess when enough fuckery is afoot, the people act out, Zephfyre. Like by electing Trump

2020-02-27 01:02:33 UTC

That is true

2020-02-27 01:02:41 UTC

There is a natural breaking point for Americans imo
