2020-04-05 17:03:43 UTC

I hate that I cant carry on post

2020-04-05 17:03:46 UTC

Shit is lame

2020-04-05 17:04:12 UTC

I canโ€™t carry at all. ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ‘Ž

2020-04-05 17:04:21 UTC

which kids are hurting me with their bikes?

2020-04-05 17:04:27 UTC

i'll tell their moms

2020-04-05 17:04:47 UTC

Just shoot em

2020-04-05 17:05:23 UTC

^why tho. Thatโ€™s a crime anywhere

2020-04-05 17:05:43 UTC

@EliteBeret is your plan to escape from the cuffs and get out of the police car and run into the field Reno 911-style?

2020-04-05 17:05:43 UTC

Fuck them kids

2020-04-05 17:06:37 UTC

@Vin_Farren they don't have respect when you're wearing a military outfit? shit, when i was a kid, i _loved_ seeing military folks

2020-04-05 17:06:38 UTC

I canโ€™t be put into a police car until the regional supervisor comes. So Iโ€™ll just sit outside the car handcuffed and the cops are lazy so they sit inside. At least my pd. The sheriff wouldnโ€™t arrest me unless I killed someone or something

2020-04-05 17:06:49 UTC

they always let me touch their huge demo weapons at the state fair

2020-04-05 17:07:47 UTC

wait, why is that? do you have some special relationship or something?

2020-04-05 17:08:18 UTC

What are you talking about John?

2020-04-05 17:08:20 UTC

No, they donโ€™t recognize a lot of the bs laws

2020-04-05 17:08:30 UTC

That my state has.

2020-04-05 17:08:44 UTC

@Vin_Farren you said "on base". i figured you wore a military outfit when you went to work (e.g. active duty)

2020-04-05 17:08:58 UTC

i mean you said "on post". sorry, i took it as something else

2020-04-05 17:09:03 UTC

Oh lol nah they dont really give a fuck

2020-04-05 17:09:23 UTC

Some of the smaller ones will almost run into ya sometimes but it's no big deal

2020-04-05 17:09:48 UTC

just so i know, does this happen when you walk along some scenic forest trail or something?

2020-04-05 17:10:04 UTC

Nah in my neighborhood

2020-04-05 17:10:22 UTC

If you go into the more secluded parts like rucking trails you don't see no one

2020-04-05 17:10:33 UTC

ah ok

2020-04-05 17:10:53 UTC

the kids around here don't run into us. they just ride around

2020-04-05 17:11:14 UTC

but if i see one coming, i could light 'em up just to let 'em know who's boss

2020-04-05 17:11:21 UTC

In civilians they treat you just like any normal guy

2020-04-05 17:11:33 UTC

I dont wear my uniform if I dont have too

2020-04-05 17:11:35 UTC

when you see my Netflix special someday, you'll know it was me

2020-04-05 17:11:54 UTC

yeah

2020-04-05 17:11:56 UTC

??

2020-04-05 17:12:02 UTC

What Netflix special?

2020-04-05 17:12:13 UTC

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

2020-04-05 17:12:31 UTC

it was my lame attempt at a joke, where i kill a kid and then a Netflix special like "The Making of a Murderer" airs

2020-04-05 17:12:33 UTC

I'm retarded Elite heck off

2020-04-05 17:12:44 UTC

And I see now

2020-04-05 17:12:52 UTC

You're in the military John?

2020-04-05 17:12:54 UTC

don't worry. it wasn't a very funny joke

2020-04-05 17:13:14 UTC

I know theres two marines but I dont remember who they are

2020-04-05 17:13:26 UTC

no no. i nearly joined and never did. my dad was a police officer. but i'm a software engineer who uses guns and hunts

2020-04-05 17:13:37 UTC

Ah

2020-04-05 17:13:41 UTC

Gotcha

2020-04-05 17:14:43 UTC

ya, i live near antigun chicago and travel nearly 4.5 hours to our farm (in IL near MO/IL/IA borders) to hunt. they're much more cool with anything gun-related down there

2020-04-05 17:15:20 UTC

I'm sorry for you, to live in such a place

2020-04-05 17:15:48 UTC

our plan is to get RE rental portfolio built up in the next 5 years and then move to St. Louis for a while (we already have a rental house there), and then get more and buy a farm in northeast MO, which will put it near our IL farms

2020-04-05 17:15:57 UTC

and we'll move to that farm in MO

2020-04-05 17:16:11 UTC

yeah, but on the flip side, chicago likes giving its money away

2020-04-05 17:16:11 UTC

Sounds like a solid plan m8

2020-04-05 17:16:18 UTC

And oh?

2020-04-05 17:16:48 UTC

i just mean chicago pays really well. and we own a home that wasn't too expensive so we get the suburb life and all that.

2020-04-05 17:17:00 UTC

this particular collar-county is gun-friendly

2020-04-05 17:17:15 UTC

We?

2020-04-05 17:17:16 UTC

I love living in the suburbs but the country was much better

2020-04-05 17:17:22 UTC

my wife and baby

2020-04-05 17:17:25 UTC

Ah

2020-04-05 17:17:58 UTC

I've lived in a suburb the majority of my life but was always in the woods, so I prefer lots of land and little neighbors

2020-04-05 17:18:02 UTC

this suburb is okay... we love our st. louis home much better, and we love st. louis so much more. but i'm not ready to ask my work to let me work remotely yet

2020-04-05 17:18:20 UTC

Makes sense, gotta build that up man

2020-04-05 17:18:27 UTC

word

2020-04-05 17:19:44 UTC

@Vin_Farren do you do "tours of duty"? like go out and do (or have done) combat roles?

2020-04-05 17:21:22 UTC

I'm confused on the question

2020-04-05 17:21:33 UTC

I serve as an infantry line medic in Iraq

2020-04-05 17:22:11 UTC

oh okay. yeah, i was asking your general role i guess. i didn't know if you went out on missions now or in the past to pop some thots (that hostile over there)

2020-04-05 17:22:16 UTC

(garand thumb reference)

2020-04-05 17:22:39 UTC

john the .22 isn't a terrible idea especially since you have family, the quieter the gun the more calm you can keep your family, and a well placed shot won't tear through your target and a wall

2020-04-05 17:22:54 UTC

We are currently on pause for missions rn, but I have done them yes

2020-04-05 17:23:07 UTC

just aim for his forehead <:pepeGiggle:588163621146853392>

2020-04-05 17:23:31 UTC

Exactly @John Cavil I Rock a .22 myself and I live it

2020-04-05 17:23:51 UTC

To answer your question John

2020-04-05 17:23:56 UTC

You can carry tons of ammo, and itโ€™s cheap as hell for good stuff,

2020-04-05 17:24:05 UTC

that's what i thought @King. . my wife could _probably_ handle it since she's gone deer hunting with me and will actually _do_ some of that hunting when she gets her hunting permit when the baby is a little older. but 1) i _hate_ loud noise like a 5.56 puts out, and 2) our baby would be so scared, and even if i'm popping thots, i wouldn't want him remembering that

2020-04-05 17:24:10 UTC

Rabbits

2020-04-05 17:24:11 UTC

or getting hearing damage

2020-04-05 17:24:34 UTC

exactly, in the end, the family is the most important thing in that house

2020-04-05 17:25:22 UTC

Also @John Cavil subsonic rounds are stupid quiet and can still take small game, or if you want to boog to the max, slap a suppressor on there and youโ€™re good even with hot rounds

2020-04-05 17:25:40 UTC

thanks @Vin_Farren . that's quite interesting

2020-04-05 17:25:40 UTC

Amen to that

2020-04-05 17:25:52 UTC

And no worries

2020-04-05 17:26:23 UTC

@KVLTVRE suppressors aren't legal in my state. but... if i do need to boog, i've got everything to build a professional-level suppressor for anything in the .22 caliber range in like 30 minutes or so

2020-04-05 17:26:55 UTC

That's one reason I love Alaska, everything is legal

2020-04-05 17:27:02 UTC

Same with Texas

2020-04-05 17:27:19 UTC

that's why we'll move to MO someday

2020-04-05 17:27:25 UTC

But like vin and king said, family is the most important

2020-04-05 17:27:55 UTC

All my internal doors are hollow in the center but the edges are 2by4โ€™s and we have 8 inch screws. The reason is so we can shoot though the door and itโ€™s hard for them to breach

2020-04-05 17:27:57 UTC

suppressors are nice but they could potentially interfere with cqc

2020-04-05 17:28:01 UTC

Thatโ€™s why we made the regions, so you can make a sub group in your are

2020-04-05 17:28:15 UTC

Yeah I'd never use a suppressor in doors

2020-04-05 17:28:23 UTC

Thatโ€™s true @King.

2020-04-05 17:28:42 UTC

Unless you make an sbr

2020-04-05 17:28:53 UTC

Or an AR pistol

2020-04-05 17:28:57 UTC

one good reason to stay in IL for now is lower long-term capital gains taxes. and i do a lot of investing so it's a decent benefit

2020-04-05 17:29:20 UTC

Hell even a .22 pistol can do

2020-04-05 17:30:06 UTC

@EliteBeret that's a good idea. i'm way too lazy / cheap to want to replace all my interior doors though

2020-04-05 17:30:33 UTC

Well we canโ€™t blame you

2020-04-05 17:30:42 UTC

It was a pain in the ass but worth is

2020-04-05 17:30:45 UTC

It

2020-04-05 17:30:54 UTC

I only plan on ever owning one on a G22, so if I need a mf dead I have something almost silent for it

2020-04-05 17:30:54 UTC

I only plan on ever owning one on a G22, so if I need a mf dead I have something almost silent for it

2020-04-05 17:31:01 UTC

@King. ya. i'm just find with standard velocity .22lr for inside-the-house. and even for ultimate boog'ing, i don't think anyone will hear a .22lr outside 100m in the woods. hell, it might be less distance than that, because they're just not that loud

2020-04-05 17:31:46 UTC

My mind is still set on HP 9mms or .45 in a small carbine like a SIG MPX, a couple weโ€™ll placed shots eliminate your threat and pose little risk to the family
