2018-09-02 03:17:33 UTC

So the people there considered themselves Roman and held no ill will whatsoever?

2018-09-02 03:17:52 UTC

And still remain Rome to this day?

2018-09-02 03:17:59 UTC

People in Rome didn't necessarily consider themselves Roman

2018-09-02 03:18:03 UTC

Because I thought that wasnt the case

2018-09-02 03:18:27 UTC

I always saw rome like the EU headquarters

2018-09-02 03:18:51 UTC

They owned a lot technically but no one fucking liked them

2018-09-02 03:18:57 UTC

Chinese in America did not become naturalized until the 60s. The day prior to that, what country owned Chinatown NYC?

2018-09-02 03:19:02 UTC

Only feared them

2018-09-02 03:19:28 UTC

You're right they didn't necessarily like them

2018-09-02 03:19:41 UTC

Thats is complete different

2018-09-02 03:20:07 UTC

NYC was already america before they got they during and after naturalization

2018-09-02 03:20:33 UTC

It would be more like Guam or something

2018-09-02 03:20:51 UTC

Its "America" but at the same time not really

2018-09-02 03:21:07 UTC

Until 1945 the Philippines was sovereign US territory. Yet people born there were not citizens of the US

2018-09-02 03:21:22 UTC

Uh, people born in Guam are citizens

2018-09-02 03:21:35 UTC

And Puerto Rico

2018-09-02 03:21:41 UTC

And yet they arent a state

2018-09-02 03:21:49 UTC

They are a territory

2018-09-02 03:21:53 UTC

Rome wasn't a federation

2018-09-02 03:22:03 UTC

Rome had a separate class of citizen and subject

2018-09-02 03:22:05 UTC

Roman empire still ruled over everything in their empire. They had troops stationed, collected taxes and stuff from Israel. They had their own governor appointed to rule over Israel

2018-09-02 03:22:06 UTC

And such dont have certain rights

2018-09-02 03:22:41 UTC

Note that Paul was both a Jew and a citizen

2018-09-02 03:23:02 UTC

But this has gone horribly side bar

2018-09-02 03:23:18 UTC

There was still more middle east east of Israel

2018-09-02 03:23:49 UTC

And even if they owned everything there would be reason to plot against rome

2018-09-02 03:24:28 UTC

Seeing as they had almost literally Just been conquered before jesus was born

2018-09-02 03:25:34 UTC

And then had wars after too

2018-09-02 03:26:47 UTC

So I would say even Jews had a reason to plot against rome

2018-09-02 03:27:24 UTC

Conquered 67 years before. That's not necessarily "just"

2018-09-02 03:27:51 UTC

The Jews, most of them, did everything in their power to stop Christianity from spreading

2018-09-02 03:28:08 UTC

They actually murdered "Christians"

2018-09-02 03:28:18 UTC

And warred 66 years after

2018-09-02 03:28:43 UTC

And never became independent again until 1948

2018-09-02 03:28:59 UTC

They still were openly hostile

2018-09-02 03:30:31 UTC

Uh no

2018-09-02 03:30:36 UTC

Unrest is not open war

2018-09-02 03:31:45 UTC

So... Jews conspired to overthrow Rome... by killing a guy, involving hundreds if not thousands of other random people... then afterwards, they try to actively stop their own conspiracy by killing it's followers?

2018-09-02 03:33:18 UTC

Is that what you're claiming?

2018-09-02 03:33:22 UTC

So which is your argument today? Christianity is just a really elaborate scheme invented by some Parthians or Chinese to overthrow Rome? Or it was invented by some nice guy to bring world peace? Or invented by a small group of people to control the world?

2018-09-02 03:33:36 UTC

2018-09-02 03:33:46 UTC

Your proof not mine

2018-09-02 03:34:16 UTC

But I guess Jewish Roman Wars does sound only like unrest...

2018-09-02 03:35:39 UTC

I haven't argued anything other than Christianity might not be the TRUE religion and gave theorys on how it could be possible

2018-09-02 03:35:59 UTC

You are treating them like I believe them

2018-09-02 03:36:05 UTC

For whatever reason

2018-09-02 03:36:08 UTC

None of which happened in the lifetime of Jesus

2018-09-02 03:36:30 UTC

The hostility was still there

2018-09-02 03:36:35 UTC

In fact it was a generation later

2018-09-02 03:37:03 UTC

There would be subversive elements everywhere to aid a conspiracy

2018-09-02 03:40:46 UTC

The possibility was there

2018-09-02 03:41:35 UTC

If you want to construct a better theory be my guest.

2018-09-02 03:43:25 UTC

Fact is Christianity was treated as a subversive element and hunted and persecuted mercilessly and there were no shortage of people who would like to see that happen.

2018-09-02 13:31:44 UTC

Which means it's far less likely to have been a world peace movement or an attempt to overthrow the Romans

2018-09-02 13:32:01 UTC

Especially when it teaches the opposite of both

2018-09-02 13:32:24 UTC

I have a third option. It's real.

2018-09-02 22:29:59 UTC

Goal wasnt either of those things hypothetically. It was to destabilize. It wasnt meant to overthrow Rome by itself, justopen more opportunities.

2018-09-02 22:31:02 UTC

But of course your stance would be provable when ever Jesus gets back. If he ever does.

2018-09-02 22:38:38 UTC

And it didn't do that at all

2018-09-02 22:39:28 UTC

It's also very unlikely that two million people will give their lives, and another five million put themselves in danger, to put an elaborate conspiracy by foreigners into action

2018-09-02 23:15:46 UTC

They weren't just Jews, there were also Greeks, Syrians, Romans etc

2018-09-02 23:24:48 UTC

Third pope, Anacletus, was a Roman, born in the capital itself

2018-09-02 23:26:14 UTC

As was the fourth, Clement, and was mentioned in the NT in fact

2018-09-02 23:27:04 UTC

Second pope, Linus, also mentioned by Paul, was from Volterra

2018-09-02 23:28:02 UTC

Sixth pope was born in the capital

2018-09-02 23:29:18 UTC

Seventh was from the capital, his family was from Greece

2018-09-02 23:30:12 UTC

Eighth from Terranova da Sibari

2018-09-02 23:32:38 UTC

Ninth from Athens

2018-09-02 23:37:28 UTC

10 from Aquileia; 11 a Greek from Syria; 12 from Aquileia; 13 from Nicopolis; 14 from Roman Africa (not black)

2018-09-02 23:37:29 UTC

Think that Christianity (Orthodoxian / Catholism ) is different from judaism

2018-09-02 23:37:36 UTC

too

2018-09-02 23:41:54 UTC

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unknown_God In ancient greece we had a temple for the unknown god too together with the 12. so greeks were more open to christianity when it came.

2018-09-02 23:42:47 UTC

15-23 from Rome; 24 from Athens; 28 from Croatia; 37 from Portugal; 55 was of German descent

2018-09-02 23:44:07 UTC

@Deleted User btw have you studied in university about theology or you just did it on your own? You remind me one of my teachers in high school on some subjects ๐Ÿ˜›

2018-09-02 23:44:37 UTC

Haha all on my own dude

2018-09-02 23:45:39 UTC

When I had the falling out with the Muslim chick, I turned as far away from Islam as I could. The direct opposite in every way. Who fought them in the crusades and Ottoman Wars for several centuries? Well I started to study that religion a lot, and eventually converted

2018-09-02 23:46:19 UTC

I was raised Protestant, was a devout atheist in my teen years, and now I'm a dirty Catholic

2018-09-02 23:46:20 UTC

That's pretty funny actually. Got converted to Christianity because of a Muslim

2018-09-02 23:46:51 UTC

Bro I got completely redpilled because of one

2018-09-02 23:47:42 UTC

As I told Mike earlier, I was trying to hook up with a Muslim girl who said her family wouldn't approve, so I looked into Islam at her request, read the Quran and Sunnah, and was like hooooly shit

2018-09-02 23:47:59 UTC

Really it was an awakening like if you found out your dad was a serial killer

2018-09-02 23:48:15 UTC

Well at least your own redpill was kinda logical ๐Ÿ˜› I got redpilled from my commies teaching because I was interest on WW2 and mostly grand strategy games and I got into searching for how WW2 started and from that was just a snowball xD

2018-09-02 23:49:18 UTC

It's always in the strangest ways

2018-09-02 23:49:44 UTC

Like when I met my wife's family. Every adult male served in the PLA. Some were officers. All party members.

2018-09-02 23:50:32 UTC

It was an eye opening moment to realize that the left has been putting people against people for so long, making us all out to be enemies, when in fact they are just regular guys like us

2018-09-02 23:51:47 UTC

They lie to us and want us to all kill each other while they reap the rewards

2018-09-02 23:53:13 UTC

Depends on the indoctrination level tbh

2018-09-02 23:53:20 UTC

I've always grown up in church. Read the Bible on my own, lived in a conservative household. My wife's family is the same. They're a lot more "old fashioned boomer conservative" than mine.

2018-09-02 23:53:50 UTC

One of the first things my wife asked me was where I went to church.

2018-09-02 23:54:18 UTC

One would think. But over there it's not really indoctrination anymore. It's more like a union and a necessary evil. Nobody believes in that shit anymore, but if you're a party member, it opens a lot of doors and is basically impossible to get fired from a government job

2018-09-02 23:54:30 UTC

This was in high school, by the way. So a 15 year old girl was asking a potential boyfriend(16 almost 17) where he went to church.

2018-09-02 23:54:48 UTC

That's like a miracle these days

2018-09-02 23:55:12 UTC

Yeah. None of my 3 siblings have anything similar lol

2018-09-02 23:55:30 UTC

Nowadays you're less likely to get a girl if you go to church it seems

2018-09-02 23:55:32 UTC

I'm the oldest.

2018-09-02 23:58:19 UTC

For me... I stayed with everything because I was self taught and learned on my own. When I got to college, too many of the classes bascially made fun of my ideology (conservative Christian). So my rebellion was to get more conservative.

2018-09-02 23:59:02 UTC

Plus it helped I had some friends that were pretty conservative too.

2018-09-02 23:59:25 UTC

I'm in a hell of a ride ๐Ÿ˜› Just finally my family has money to send me to my university that I passed from the final exams of my High school, but every Uni here is infested with commies.

2018-09-03 00:00:02 UTC

Well when I was young 8-14 I was kinda disconnected with the world, like after I would finish with school I would just play xbox untill sleep time.

2018-09-03 00:00:41 UTC

Funny though my current friends were people that I found over the internet and luckily we lived near of each other haha
