russia still uses their soviet railroads
What? Somalialand is still amazingly inept, poor, uneducated, and nearly lawless, if you mean socialist by "nobody can have any wealth unless you are a warlord or are a "government" leader.", I really don't see how it is socialist in any sense.
And why would russia suddenly stop using their infrastructure after the union dissolved?
no im saying somallia went to shit when the west fucked it up
it use to be a socialist country
But then it tried and failed miserably to invade eithiopia, and then collapsed into anarchy.
well he also combined his form of socialism with the quran
What a fucking dumbass move, whoever "he" is, should have known that socialism and religion are mutally exclusive.
gadaffi did the same thing
Gadaffi? He attempted to gain independance for libya from the west, but they were not having that, he was no socialist in any way, and was killed by the very zionists and jihadists that the west funded.
libya had farms in the desert
gadaffi even stated his goal was a combination of islam and socialism
he didnt like the ussr or america
Kind of like how assad is leading the Syrian Socialist Nationalist Party?
Interesting.....
baathist pan arabist
like saddam
Baathism is a unique form of nationalism, it worked quite well for saddam, gadaffi, and is working well for assad, who has finally put an end to ISIS in syria.
Where gaddafi failed, was that he never got any direct support from outside sources, therefore failing one of the three requirements for a successful gureilla war.
@Deleted User That is a map from months ago, let me pull up a map now.
yup assad basically won the war
him and the kurds did well
mostly him
This is it now.
Note how kurdish territory has become smaller in iraq.
yeah they captured the leader 4 days ago
isis is dead
That's because iraq is going back to baathism and they are waging war against the kurdish, turkey has also began to occupy places within kurdistan.
@Deleted User Wait they did? I need a link to that.
wait nvm
Just remember this: The with isis is now over, and it will pick up with assad VS kurdistan.
hes somewhere around the border
the kurds need thier own country
iraqs leader is a kurd
this is more of an anti rebellion thing
Really? Even when the vote happened iraq and it's leader declared it unlawful and declared war on kurdistan as a result.
he views them as rebels
They only recently declared a ceasefire because ISIS is taking the opportunity to gun down people while the war is raging and dissapearing into the desert.
i think he wants to unite iraq
He does/
under him
not under democracy
Who would have guessed?
its obviously not about race considering the guy IS A KURD HIMSELF
It seems that baathist sentiments still reign even after hussein's execution.
its weird
its almost like hes a nationalist
*obvious gasps
nationalism will always exist in that reigion
A kurd is not always so ethnically.
It is a branch of islam as well.
Parties: Patriotic Union of Kurdistan ยท Kurdistan Democratic Party ยท Iraqi Communist Party
The ottomans had a hell of a time with them during WW1.
appearently iraqs current president is a former communist
he use to be prime minister of kurdistan
A big portion of nationalists were ironically communists at one point.
This applies so globally.
hes also just pushing the kurds back into the autonomous zone
nothing else really
Yhea, iraq wants to achieve stability before invading kurdistan.
iraq doesnt want to invade it it wants to assimulate it
if not the west will intervine
The US will never intervene in iraq of syria.
if i were president i would
They tried it more than once, and failed miserably.
and make kurdistan indpendent
and leave the gov in power
it would be best for both parties
they are a drain on eachother
The iraq war only made al-qaeda and ISIS form and become dominant in iraq and syria, and afghanistan never achieved it's goal of destroying the taliban, which still rule 1/3 of the country today.
what if kurdistan was independent
and recognized
That's like saying turkey would not intervene and invade them automatically.
oh turkeys nuked
if they try
Turkey would fire nukes back.
because in this timeline kurdistan has nukes
and turkey dont
Then you are forcing things to fit your reality.
im saying we give reigions vunerable to invasion nukes
so they wont invade
free kurdista
and give them nukes
Are you fucking mad?
They would nuke turkey, israel, syria, iraq, and more right off the bat if you gave them nukes!
no one would invade
But did we supply them with nuclear weapons with the soul purpose of giving a bunch of people who for centuries have waged holy wars against other people in that region?
@Deleted User Turkey has already invaded kurdistan, it is a very small portion admitably, but it is an invasion nonetheless!
every reigion that wants independence should get it
@Deleted User So you give palestine independance? And donsekt? And wallonia? And Venice? And wales? And scotland? And siberia? And Kashmir? And brittany? And the CSA?
@Deleted User its more likely all the states would go on their own and yes
@Deleted User Well give me a slice of that global super balkanization then, because I want to declare independance.
your house
your neighborhood
what are your claims
Independance for my house of course.
You are mirroring anarcho capitalism unintentionally right now.
how long would this senario last
My hero
