The storyline for the zone is good. But gameplay wise it isn't needed until you get really into the game.

so youre gonan wanna go ebonheart, which means with the base game youd have to be argonian/dark elf/nord. Or you can get the really cheap imperial dlc thing and it unlocks any race any faction and the imperial race.

Have that too it’s cool

Also, when picking a class, just know that each class has two different ways of DPS. Stamina and Magicka. So you can play a mag or stam sorc.
