"In northern Minnesota, a region hit hard by the steel slump and layoffs in the iron mines, 70 percent approved of the way Trump is handling the economy and job policy." - Star Tribune, 1/14/18

Red Alert:

The Florida State Legislature has just approved Amendment IV - The Right for Felons to Vote Act to be on the November ballot after the nigger rights supporting the measure claimed it got around 800k signatures on its petition. The GOP-controlled State legislature is thinking of passing a bill that will restore the nigger's rights only if jewdge grants his/her approval. If not, this amendment requires, I believe, a two-thirds majority (if not just sixty percent) to officially pass so it's a tough sell, but it's Florida - there's enough cucked-up people down here for it to pass.

NEWS: Per a GOP aide (via a member on the train), the train carrying members of congress to the GOP Retreat just had some kind of accident.

2018-01-31 17:07:49 UTC

wow

2018-02-06 19:57:22 UTC

this could be maybe the large GOP bill you said they would need

2018-02-06 19:57:31 UTC

indeed

2018-02-06 19:58:05 UTC

A thing about it is that Dems would most likely join in to vote, which would make it less of a GOP achievement.

2018-02-06 19:58:48 UTC

The way I see this working out like the tax bill is if they're so obstructionist they don't vote for infrastructure

2018-02-07 17:52:08 UTC

Well, it's official, the stock market is now 100% irrelevant

2018-02-07 17:57:13 UTC

He cannot be crashed

2018-02-07 18:03:21 UTC

Lol

2018-02-07 18:04:14 UTC

Yeah since the election djia was up 45% now it's up 43% so lol whatever

2018-02-07 18:04:25 UTC

The collapse wasn't as big in perspective

2018-02-07 18:04:30 UTC

It'll be back up

2018-02-07 18:04:52 UTC

I think that the subtext is far more interesting

2018-02-07 18:05:17 UTC

Because you had MSM report on this, the 1000 point fall, it seems to have done nothing.

2018-02-07 18:07:01 UTC

I think it's a huge deal, if they try something like this which I'm not sure they can do in many other sectors, it won't affect Trump's popularity whatsoever or even the confidence of the economy.

2018-02-07 19:21:05 UTC

Some really great news sites:

2018-02-07 19:21:16 UTC
2018-02-07 19:26:45 UTC
2018-02-07 19:36:56 UTC
2018-02-07 19:37:21 UTC

I think this section is for providing news, not news sites lol

2018-02-07 19:46:27 UTC

lol

2018-02-07 19:56:29 UTC

but da illegals are good for muh gdp

2018-02-07 19:56:48 UTC

that's something people are going to get triggered by

2018-02-07 19:56:57 UTC

when we deport the illegals the GDP will decline

2018-02-07 19:57:02 UTC

but GDP per capita will increase bigly

2018-02-07 19:57:41 UTC

current GDP per capita is 60k

2018-02-07 19:58:31 UTC

without illegals it would at least hike to 62k

2018-02-10 04:47:58 UTC

Dershowitz on the Libertarian ticket, huh?

2018-02-10 04:48:12 UTC

Well, in a state like NJ, that may be our best bet

2018-02-10 04:51:41 UTC

I don't know, it just may work

2018-02-10 04:52:08 UTC

Menendez is a crooked enough figure,

2018-02-10 04:52:29 UTC

NJ and the vacant MN seat could serve as a path to 60

2018-02-10 04:54:25 UTC

I think having some 3rd party blood in congress would be interesting

2018-02-10 04:55:29 UTC

Dershowitz is old and I know he's not /ourguy/ by any definition of the word, but it would be interesting and better for us to have him over Menendez.

2018-02-10 04:56:06 UTC

a libertarian would likely caucus would Republicans

2018-02-10 04:58:50 UTC

Perhaps, Dershowitz has been making more inroads w/ the Fox crowd, I know that

2018-02-10 04:59:12 UTC

The NJ Republican party isn't in good shape after Christie

2018-02-10 04:59:33 UTC

I'm open to this

2018-02-10 05:02:45 UTC

This is of course, all theory and speculation, Dershowitz himself I don't think's displayed any interest in running and I'm not sure the Libertarians are the first thing he'd have in mind.

2018-02-10 05:02:55 UTC

But it's an interesting thought.

2018-02-10 12:45:35 UTC

I'm not sure if he could win on the Libertarian ticket

2018-02-10 12:46:02 UTC

people generally aren't willing to vote for a 3rd party candidate in large numbers

2018-02-10 13:37:27 UTC

If there was a way to do it, that would be it, IMO

2018-02-14 03:19:34 UTC

heh

2018-02-14 03:19:41 UTC

A new bill proposed by Todd Rokita, US Rep and candidate for US Senate would make most bonuses resulting from the Trump tax plan completely tax free, this bill would be named the 'Creating Relief and Useful Middle-Class Benefits and Savings Act' or CRUMBS Act, a swipe at Nancy Pelosi's comment after the bill was made that bonuses obtained from the tax cuts were simple crumbs.

2018-02-14 03:21:38 UTC

I hope it passes, it'd be another successful piece of GOP legislation, which would help their image overall, and would specifically help Rokita's campaign for Senate in Indiana immensely.

2018-02-14 03:22:03 UTC

Also, it's some good bantz tbh

2018-02-14 11:22:28 UTC

that's a good PR stunt too

2018-02-14 18:49:48 UTC

I wonder if it'll have much of an effect on Romney's senate run though

2018-02-14 19:10:56 UTC

HAHAHA

2018-02-14 19:11:03 UTC

YES

2018-02-14 19:11:39 UTC

You know what this means?

2018-02-14 19:12:04 UTC

The Bushite/McCain Republican wing is now officially dead.

2018-02-14 19:12:32 UTC

They cannot even show their faces anymore, this is now the Trump party.

2018-02-14 19:13:29 UTC

The only major mormon presidential candidate in history cannot even get backed in fucking Utah.

2018-02-14 19:14:09 UTC

That speaks volumes about the state of the neocons, there won't be any new ones, only nationalists from here on out.

2018-02-14 19:35:55 UTC

This is incredible economic news

2018-02-14 19:36:08 UTC

He cut taxes and then the next month ran a SURPLUS

2018-02-14 19:36:13 UTC

Holy shit

2018-02-14 19:36:21 UTC

makes sense

2018-02-14 19:37:02 UTC

as businesses invest more of the money they save, their profits go up and they end up with more in percentage to give to the fed

2018-02-14 19:37:24 UTC

It's going to bode very well if it keeps up

2018-02-14 19:37:47 UTC

Democrats may have shifted the American mindset on healthcare,

2018-02-14 19:37:55 UTC

The only negative people have on the tax cut is how much it'd drive up the deficit

2018-02-14 19:38:10 UTC

but Republicans have now forever changed how Americans think about taxes

2018-02-14 19:38:56 UTC

If the deficit for fiscal year 2018 really will be only $176 B like the treasury report says it is, the we've got some amazing news on our hands

2018-02-14 19:40:22 UTC

I think the federal shutdown may have had something to do with the surplus

2018-02-14 19:43:15 UTC

Anyways, if stuff like this keeps up alongside the bonuses and the cuts in taxes, CRUMBS act, then there's absolutely nothing they can do with the stock market to fuck over Trump.

2018-02-14 19:46:22 UTC

I'm having a good day

2018-02-14 19:51:32 UTC

@FLanon when was the last time we ran a surplus ?

2018-02-14 19:51:47 UTC

under Clinton

2018-02-14 19:52:19 UTC

so, on a month by month basis, it's never been a surplus since then ? I know it was a surplus on a yearly basis under Clinton

2018-02-14 19:56:08 UTC

@๐ŸŽƒBoo-ton๐ŸŽƒ I'm not sure about that on a month to month basis

2018-02-14 19:56:37 UTC

Yearly, yeah, it was Clinton. I think between then and now we must have had one month which was a surplus.

2018-02-14 19:57:27 UTC

Trump's not really fiscally conservative tbh

2018-02-14 19:58:39 UTC

he thinks the debt can go away by increasing revenue,
but it will never enough for that, he'd have to make significant cuts to the healthcare programs

2018-02-14 20:00:24 UTC

Unfortunately

2018-02-14 20:00:41 UTC

Looked it up, Sept. 2017 was a surplus month

2018-02-14 20:01:25 UTC

We definitely have to be much more efficient on healthcare programs, that's the main issue with the system
