Do u think the earth is flat

2019-12-01 21:40:04 UTC
2019-12-01 21:40:18 UTC

Yo

2019-12-01 21:46:31 UTC

yes i know it's flat

2019-12-01 23:44:10 UTC

Hello fellow flatties

2019-12-01 23:45:00 UTC

Hello

2019-12-01 23:48:09 UTC

So I saw this picture of the earth that was a dinosaur and I don't see that in roles? so who do I talk to to get the role of Dinosaur earthers?

2019-12-02 00:04:29 UTC

how do time zones work in flat earth

so how to you explain eclipses

2019-12-02 00:08:19 UTC

with these models

2019-12-02 00:14:25 UTC

ok what about the different phases of the moon, how does that work? im not trying to disprove anything btw, im just curious as to how it works in the flat earth model

2019-12-02 00:16:49 UTC

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/484516084846952451/650852837705646081/IMG_20190925_095210_355.jpg

2019-12-02 00:17:00 UTC

also @Logrian the second pic you posted about eclipses every month is kinda misinformed bc according to globe theory the moons orbit is not on the same plane as the earth's orbit, which explains why eclipses dont occur every month

2019-12-02 00:17:29 UTC

@Logrian ok so what is the moon then?

2019-12-02 00:17:47 UTC

Selenelion eclipse. Moon darkens from top down. Wouldnt happen on a globe

2019-12-02 00:19:18 UTC

@Logrian in the models you posted earlier, the moon seemed to be represented as a sphere, but now you're saying its not? what's going on?

2019-12-02 00:20:29 UTC

@Citizen Z dont quite understand, can you explain further? or just send me some references so i can research myself if u dont feel like taking the time to explain

2019-12-02 00:28:16 UTC

mebeh this...we dont know tbh?

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/484516084846952451/650855721021472826/FB_IMG_1551402364629.jpg

2019-12-02 00:36:06 UTC

see this is what i dont like about flat earth. globe earth has answers to pretty much any question you can think of. yes, there are assumptions made, because some things are not possible to test experimentally, but the whole "theory" is congruent.. everything makes sense in the context of everything else. flat earth, on the other hand, as a hodgepodge of a bunch of different theories, and half the time they conflict with each other. its a mess. i mean, i ask about time zones and you send me a gif of two spheres circling a disc, but then you go on to say maybe the moon isnt a sphere?? so why isnt that accounted for in your original gif? nothing makes sense in flat earth

2019-12-02 00:40:54 UTC

I sent you a patented map of a world time calculator

2019-12-02 00:41:10 UTC

Nothing makes sense on a globe

2019-12-02 00:41:43 UTC

How does a globe have gas pressure in an infinite vacuum of space

2019-12-02 00:42:14 UTC

a patent doesnt mean anything lol

2019-12-02 00:42:24 UTC

and i dont know the answer to that question

2019-12-02 00:42:35 UTC

Check into it

2019-12-02 00:43:15 UTC

also, @Logrian the pic about never seeing the other side of the moon? its actually wrong, look up the phenomenon called earthshine

2019-12-02 00:43:35 UTC

Yeah they want us to believe in theocraticals and call our truth a theory and don't have a single peice of evidence to back up anything they say other than lab coat jargon and mathematical nonsensical bs. Then when you press them on what they actually know about their model they resort to name calling and go silent and pout

2019-12-02 00:45:37 UTC

@Logrian this is what im talking about, you and other flat earthers are constantly posting info that is blatantly wrong. and im supposed to believe what you say?

2019-12-02 00:45:51 UTC

How is it wrong?

2019-12-02 00:45:57 UTC

did you look up earthshine?

2019-12-02 00:46:11 UTC

I did, can you explain it please?

2019-12-02 00:48:12 UTC

there are times when the "dark side" of the moon is visible through a simple telescope. the globe earth explanation is that it is due to light reflecting off the earths surface. im not sure how you would explain this in flat earth theory. the point im making is that your image says "we see one perfect side of it ....always" when that is simply not true

2019-12-02 00:48:17 UTC

its misinformation

2019-12-02 00:49:00 UTC

earthshine
[หˆษ™rTHหŒSHฤซn]
NOUN
astronomy

the glow caused by sunlight reflected off the earth, especially on the darker portion of a crescent moon.
-
Planetshine is the dim illumination, by sunlight reflected from a planet, of all or part of the otherwise dark side of any moon orbiting the body. Planetlight is the diffuse reflection of sunlight from a planet, whose albedo can be measured.

2019-12-02 00:49:16 UTC

This what you mean?

2019-12-02 00:49:44 UTC

One face always points at us

2019-12-02 00:49:45 UTC

true

2019-12-02 00:49:56 UTC

gimme a sec, i may have misinterpreted what i read. i could be wrong

2019-12-02 00:49:57 UTC

it rotates like the face of a clock

2019-12-02 00:50:54 UTC

But it shouldn't always point at us if it is in fact moving slower then the earth turns and at a different speed that is slower then our rotation at said tilt so that is an impossibility that it just always faces us.

2019-12-02 00:51:29 UTC

It is either rotating or not

2019-12-02 00:51:31 UTC

actually i was wrong. earthshine is still a real thing, but you cant see the far side of the moon from earth

2019-12-02 00:51:32 UTC

I say not

2019-12-02 00:52:18 UTC
2019-12-02 00:54:52 UTC

@Sassy Undeniably here's the globe theory explanation: "We donโ€™t see the far side because โ€œthe moon is tidally locked to the Earth,โ€ said John Keller, deputy project scientist for NASAโ€™s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter project. โ€œThe moon does rotate, but it rotates at the same speed that it rotates around the Earth.โ€ The moon completes one full rotation on its axis in the time it takes to orbit the Earth. That means the same side is always turned toward us."

2019-12-02 00:56:30 UTC

The Moon is rotating on its own axis at approximately the same speed as it orbits the Earth. Thatโ€™s why only one side is visible

2019-12-02 00:56:39 UTC

Btw this is called synchronous rotation

2019-12-02 00:57:53 UTC

@Logrian yep, i was definitely wrong about being able to see the far side. however, i still have a problem with how the images u post seem to conflict with each other. why would you post a gif of two spheres rotating above a disc earth then post an image that calls into question if the moon is even a sphere? its conflicting information

2019-12-02 00:59:26 UTC

the omages are to get you to think, not saying theyre accurate or exact ๐Ÿ™‚

2019-12-02 01:02:42 UTC

what?? why would you post things if you dont think theyre accurate or exact? are you trying to create confusion?

2019-12-02 01:03:05 UTC

because we dont have 78 million a day

2019-12-02 01:03:10 UTC

so we do the best we can

2019-12-02 01:03:46 UTC

so the "best you can" is to post conflicting info and make things more confusing?

2019-12-02 01:03:54 UTC

we know NASA always lies, an at the top theyre freemasons, so we can discount any nonsense they push as its for their benefit an agenda an not ours

2019-12-02 01:05:03 UTC

im not talking about what NASA says. this doesnt concern them at all. my issue is that the info posted by flat earthers often conflicting and confusing

2019-12-02 01:05:24 UTC

Your ignorance is going to have you with cogdiss in a second. lol did you look at what you posted or are you going to regurgitate the same thing we all learned. In order to wake up and understand why we have and issue with what they have said you have to first start with a blank slate and stop believing blindly what you were told. Let me rip apart what that said and what it really means then we will see if you are ready to understand that they get caught in their own lies by the statements they have made. First off tidal look is a phenomena which means it is a special occurrence that breaks all rational and logical rules to be believed by those who subscribe to it. That is where you first go wrong. second off The moon takes 27 days to rotate once and we should see all sides off it if it is spinning so slow that it takes that long to spin. But here again there is another hidden truth to that lie in that it can't be synchronous to us if we spin faster then it. Thirdly You have to ignore the fact that a rotation means just that that something is rotating independently so we should never see one side we should see 27 different frames every night as it rotates. Think okay

2019-12-02 01:05:34 UTC

it stops us from using the monies to actually investuigate

2019-12-02 01:07:45 UTC

Some people just need to pick apart what they believe and then that will help them see clearer

2019-12-02 01:08:30 UTC

"tidal look is a phenomena which means it is a special occurrence that breaks all rational and logical rules to be believed by those who subscribe to it" that is not the definition of a phenomenon

2019-12-02 01:08:45 UTC

Hell leave believes all together. Phenomena lol like if i put my hand in this fire a phenomena will occur and I won't get burned cause i said so.

2019-12-02 01:09:12 UTC

what? lol

2019-12-02 01:09:53 UTC

๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

2019-12-02 01:10:52 UTC

noun
noun: phenomenon; plural noun: phenomena
1.
a fact or situation that is observed to exist or happen, especially one whose cause or explanation is in question. This means it doesn't happen naturally so saying it occurs is like saying the tooth fairy took my tooth and left me some money

2019-12-02 01:10:53 UTC

definition of phenomena from merriam webster: plural phenomena : an observable fact or event

2019-12-02 01:11:16 UTC

[01:05] NS Jones: im not talking about what NASA says. this doesnt concern them at all. my issue is that the info posted by flat earthers often conflicting and confusing

2019-12-02 01:11:19 UTC

That is in question meaning it is not a constant and can't be proven

2019-12-02 01:11:19 UTC

why does that mean it doesnt happen naturally

2019-12-02 01:11:42 UTC

> a fact or situation that is observed to exist or happen, especially one whose cause or explanation is in question.

2019-12-02 01:11:50 UTC

do you mean that flat earther a contadict fla earther b or a contradicts himself

2019-12-02 01:11:53 UTC

I feel like natural phenomena are things?

2019-12-02 01:11:58 UTC

They are observed

2019-12-02 01:12:05 UTC

Some of their explanations are questioned

2019-12-02 01:12:22 UTC

Yeah phenomenon is something that occurs that you just use as a scape goat when you can't prove it happens in any other scenario in other words it does not repeat.

2019-12-02 01:12:33 UTC

@chad46 both

2019-12-02 01:12:39 UTC

what

2019-12-02 01:12:47 UTC

I think lightning is a natural phenomenon by that definition

2019-12-02 01:12:58 UTC

That repeats often

2019-12-02 01:12:59 UTC

well for a contradict b , we are not borg

2019-12-02 01:13:02 UTC

lightning is a great example actually

2019-12-02 01:13:24 UTC

nd for a contradicting themselves everyone does

2019-12-02 01:13:27 UTC

it is an observable event, but its cause is not clear at first

2019-12-02 01:13:33 UTC

however, it can be explained

2019-12-02 01:13:49 UTC

It is not a phenomena it does not meat the criterion it is known repetitive and observable so miss me with that.

2019-12-02 01:14:10 UTC

ok at this point your definition of phenomena is just incorrect

2019-12-02 01:14:13 UTC

But it is by the definition you posted

2019-12-02 01:14:15 UTC

Yes it is known the cause of lightning

2019-12-02 01:14:31 UTC

@chad46 what is borg

2019-12-02 01:14:35 UTC

The cause need not necessarily be unknown or debated

2019-12-02 01:14:38 UTC

What you guys are trying to do is ignore the fact that if something rotates it rotates and the moon doesn't

2019-12-02 01:14:41 UTC

Notice the 'especially' in your own definition

2019-12-02 01:14:42 UTC

google is your friend

2019-12-02 01:15:04 UTC

27 days of the moon revealing it's dark side is what should happen
