that's bigoted mr. Wol
@pratel I like the discussions here. But its not like we find that much common ground in the end
Whether it's unsheathed doesn't really matter. It's matter of split second
*kaching*
its not bigotted if you're fast enough! ๐
@.B
Eh, there are a couple key issues. I think the vast majority are free speech absolutists. And most reject Social Justice as a valid ideology.
That's probably about as much agreement as you're going to get (and there's disputes in the details of even these points) but that's enough to form a group advocating for Free Speech for example.
Sure. But that is nothing new
we all agree on free speech
But not on economic issues
Specially not on economic issues
๐
i don't agree with that!
seize the means of reproduction commrades !
no no
We must seize the MEMES of production!
`ohno`
the ENDS, justify the MEMES
How did the natural selection and abortion topic end up btw?
that's too radical for me
well i had to go eat so it sort of ended mid-way
and i think Beemon thinks i'm a jerk for our miscommunication regarding who should ultimately decide on abortion
Hahhahha
I think your point was pretty clear tbh. Though he took it completelly wrong
like i said, there was a miscommunication where i was talking about personal choice
And he thought i was talking about state choosing
and that got a bit heated
he did accuse me of stuff a lot, like conjecting
but that may once again be cuz of the miscommunication
so i don't blame him for it
Tf is conjecting?
I wouldn't just dismiss stuff like Free speech. There's a distinct movement in the academies that's leeching out into the wider public that's not so absolutist. One that really does believe that you would need to suppress speech to enable it.
And there are real organizations pushing for Social Justice or Social Justice related ends.
It seems silly because we don't think too much about it, but there are groups that view it as a socio-political struggle.
nah he found it conjecting when i said that Stephen Hawking wouldn't have the opportunity to become as famous if he started at birth being immobile
Oh, I had to take a break, I was referring to earlier in the conversation where you guys were talking about agreeing on free speech but not economics
we are _threading_, no problem =p
on a single core board ๐
@pratel I agree with you that it is gradually starting to become a big problem. But people that are online for a lot of time (like us here) are usually pro-free speech
I'm not sure. I think we might be in a bit of a bubble
we didn't use to be
we used to have a nazi with us :<
Hahahha
I meant more like Tumblr would probably disagree
We still have commies among us. Did they win this time?
Anyways, I gotta go for a bit. But I do think there's more agreement and potential than we realize.
we have commies here?
i mean, i'm an imperialist :<
so i'm different? ๐
I'm not too sure what thay implies nowadays
basically what the EU would do, but properly, so no bleeding heart towards immigrants
essentially "us first, them rest"
A type of nacionalism then?
I'm conservative (without the religion and tradition stuff)
Culturally libertarian
yeah, but an expanding one
where you basically uplift the edges slowly, and make them part of the union
but not at the cost of the center
I'm pro-free market. But if we have welfare, I become Nacionalistic quite fast
and protectionism in economics,
We first
sooo basically Geret Wilders or what's his name
but free market where possible ofc
Geert Wilders?
sort of, i voted for him yes
that
Protectionism is bad for everyone. But some times it is better than to be eaten
well exactly, protectionism where its needed,
but preferably free market, for most benefits
We agree then. Lets take this place over ๐
๐
but very pro capitalism,
With only social benefits for fully integrated people
I'm ok with safety nets as long as they are applied for a short-term and turn them into productive members of society
well yes,
the idea is having a safety-net that you wont need, cuz theres enough work/opportunity
so people woudn't need it, but its still there "in case"
but i'm in favor of expansion
or well
assimilation, you adopt our culture
huwait peepo have no culture
so in my case, if turkey would want to join the EU, they'd have to become secular 'n shieet
in fact, islam all together, i can't stand the damn religion cuz it wants to impose its own ideology
I agree with that. Though your culture would change from within anyway
It would change, but the goal is to keep it pure at the core
If I was god I would snap my fingers and make religion disappear forever.
thats the end goal, but i understand the value of religion in giving people purpose
so humanity would have to adopt a new purpose to replace it, else people get lost and become corrupted by SJW-think
purpose to serve ? get them dominatrix , done ๐
nah
Day after day I agree more that christianity is needed
For stupid people
Coz otherwise they will be converted to SJWy stuff, communism, etc
grass roots helping
I mean, if a person helps 1 person to the left of them, and they do the same for themselves
you just stand in a circle,
And then 10 people, help 10 people with problems, whilst only doing 1
There is also room for improvement in education, no need to run to religion that fast.
Education is ruining itself
education, oh man would i drive a sledgehammer at that
any educational course that doesn't end up with a "resourceful contribution to society" gets axed
Art should be a hobby, not a degree
My trust that education would solve anything went completely away after some years went by
well people are educated to accept what is told,
not question what they are told
big truth
I was educated to question everything. I didn't have an easy life at school ๐
but also
they should be educated in what contributes to society
gender studies doesn't add anything
a programmer can be
AI
robotics
software
network
game development
etc
If someone wants to waste their money and time for such courses, I say go for it but not federal funding
I think Arts could still be a degree. The problem is that it is too easy for people that just want to screw around to pick it up and then blame society for their failures
