2018-07-19 20:28:09 UTC

that's bigoted mr. Wol

2018-07-19 20:28:36 UTC

@pratel I like the discussions here. But its not like we find that much common ground in the end

2018-07-19 20:28:49 UTC

Whether it's unsheathed doesn't really matter. It's matter of split second
*kaching*

2018-07-19 20:29:07 UTC

its not bigotted if you're fast enough! ๐Ÿ˜‰

2018-07-19 20:32:00 UTC

@.B

Eh, there are a couple key issues. I think the vast majority are free speech absolutists. And most reject Social Justice as a valid ideology.

That's probably about as much agreement as you're going to get (and there's disputes in the details of even these points) but that's enough to form a group advocating for Free Speech for example.

2018-07-19 20:32:48 UTC

Sure. But that is nothing new

2018-07-19 20:33:13 UTC

we all agree on free speech

But not on economic issues

2018-07-19 20:33:36 UTC

Specially not on economic issues

2018-07-19 20:33:43 UTC

๐Ÿ˜‚

2018-07-19 20:33:52 UTC

i don't agree with that!

2018-07-19 20:34:11 UTC

seize the means of reproduction commrades !

2018-07-19 20:34:15 UTC

no no

2018-07-19 20:34:20 UTC

We must seize the MEMES of production!

2018-07-19 20:34:22 UTC

`ohno`

2018-07-19 20:34:29 UTC

the ENDS, justify the MEMES

2018-07-19 20:34:46 UTC

How did the natural selection and abortion topic end up btw?

2018-07-19 20:34:47 UTC

that's too radical for me

2018-07-19 20:36:32 UTC
2018-07-19 20:38:05 UTC

well i had to go eat so it sort of ended mid-way

2018-07-19 20:38:28 UTC

and i think Beemon thinks i'm a jerk for our miscommunication regarding who should ultimately decide on abortion

2018-07-19 20:38:40 UTC

Hahhahha

2018-07-19 20:39:16 UTC

I think your point was pretty clear tbh. Though he took it completelly wrong

2018-07-19 20:39:39 UTC

like i said, there was a miscommunication where i was talking about personal choice

And he thought i was talking about state choosing

2018-07-19 20:39:49 UTC

and that got a bit heated

2018-07-19 20:40:01 UTC

he did accuse me of stuff a lot, like conjecting

2018-07-19 20:40:13 UTC

but that may once again be cuz of the miscommunication

2018-07-19 20:40:20 UTC

so i don't blame him for it

2018-07-19 20:41:05 UTC

Tf is conjecting?

2018-07-19 20:42:30 UTC

I wouldn't just dismiss stuff like Free speech. There's a distinct movement in the academies that's leeching out into the wider public that's not so absolutist. One that really does believe that you would need to suppress speech to enable it.

And there are real organizations pushing for Social Justice or Social Justice related ends.

2018-07-19 20:43:05 UTC

It seems silly because we don't think too much about it, but there are groups that view it as a socio-political struggle.

2018-07-19 20:43:24 UTC

nah he found it conjecting when i said that Stephen Hawking wouldn't have the opportunity to become as famous if he started at birth being immobile

2018-07-19 20:44:04 UTC

Oh, I had to take a break, I was referring to earlier in the conversation where you guys were talking about agreeing on free speech but not economics

2018-07-19 20:45:08 UTC

we are _threading_, no problem =p

2018-07-19 20:45:43 UTC

on a single core board ๐Ÿ˜›

2018-07-19 20:46:11 UTC

@pratel I agree with you that it is gradually starting to become a big problem. But people that are online for a lot of time (like us here) are usually pro-free speech

2018-07-19 20:46:33 UTC

I'm not sure. I think we might be in a bit of a bubble

2018-07-19 20:46:44 UTC

we didn't use to be

2018-07-19 20:46:49 UTC

we used to have a nazi with us :<

2018-07-19 20:46:53 UTC

Hahahha

2018-07-19 20:47:02 UTC

I meant more like Tumblr would probably disagree

2018-07-19 20:47:13 UTC

We still have commies among us. Did they win this time?

2018-07-19 20:47:43 UTC

Anyways, I gotta go for a bit. But I do think there's more agreement and potential than we realize.

2018-07-19 20:47:58 UTC

we have commies here?

2018-07-19 20:48:06 UTC

i mean, i'm an imperialist :<

2018-07-19 20:48:09 UTC

so i'm different? ๐Ÿ˜›

2018-07-19 20:49:18 UTC

I'm not too sure what thay implies nowadays

2018-07-19 20:50:47 UTC

basically what the EU would do, but properly, so no bleeding heart towards immigrants

2018-07-19 20:50:54 UTC

essentially "us first, them rest"

2018-07-19 20:51:21 UTC

A type of nacionalism then?

2018-07-19 20:51:55 UTC

I'm conservative (without the religion and tradition stuff)

2018-07-19 20:52:02 UTC

Culturally libertarian

2018-07-19 20:52:03 UTC

yeah, but an expanding one

2018-07-19 20:52:20 UTC

where you basically uplift the edges slowly, and make them part of the union

2018-07-19 20:52:26 UTC

but not at the cost of the center

2018-07-19 20:52:37 UTC

I'm pro-free market. But if we have welfare, I become Nacionalistic quite fast

2018-07-19 20:52:43 UTC

and protectionism in economics,

We first

2018-07-19 20:53:25 UTC

sooo basically Geret Wilders or what's his name

2018-07-19 20:53:26 UTC

but free market where possible ofc

2018-07-19 20:53:34 UTC

Geert Wilders?

2018-07-19 20:53:37 UTC

sort of, i voted for him yes

2018-07-19 20:53:38 UTC

that

2018-07-19 20:53:42 UTC

Protectionism is bad for everyone. But some times it is better than to be eaten

2018-07-19 20:54:03 UTC

well exactly, protectionism where its needed,

but preferably free market, for most benefits

2018-07-19 20:54:36 UTC

We agree then. Lets take this place over ๐Ÿ˜

2018-07-19 20:54:40 UTC

๐Ÿ˜‰

2018-07-19 20:54:58 UTC

but very pro capitalism,

With only social benefits for fully integrated people

2018-07-19 20:56:00 UTC

I'm ok with safety nets as long as they are applied for a short-term and turn them into productive members of society

2018-07-19 20:56:27 UTC

well yes,

the idea is having a safety-net that you wont need, cuz theres enough work/opportunity

2018-07-19 20:56:41 UTC

so people woudn't need it, but its still there "in case"

2018-07-19 20:57:17 UTC

but i'm in favor of expansion

2018-07-19 20:57:57 UTC

or well

2018-07-19 20:58:05 UTC

assimilation, you adopt our culture

2018-07-19 20:58:31 UTC

huwait peepo have no culture

2018-07-19 20:58:53 UTC

so in my case, if turkey would want to join the EU, they'd have to become secular 'n shieet

2018-07-19 20:59:30 UTC

in fact, islam all together, i can't stand the damn religion cuz it wants to impose its own ideology

2018-07-19 20:59:33 UTC

I agree with that. Though your culture would change from within anyway

2018-07-19 20:59:55 UTC

It would change, but the goal is to keep it pure at the core

2018-07-19 21:00:08 UTC

If I was god I would snap my fingers and make religion disappear forever.

2018-07-19 21:00:34 UTC

thats the end goal, but i understand the value of religion in giving people purpose

2018-07-19 21:00:50 UTC

so humanity would have to adopt a new purpose to replace it, else people get lost and become corrupted by SJW-think

2018-07-19 21:01:12 UTC

purpose to serve ? get them dominatrix , done ๐Ÿ˜›

2018-07-19 21:01:23 UTC

nah

2018-07-19 21:01:43 UTC

Day after day I agree more that christianity is needed

2018-07-19 21:01:53 UTC

For stupid people

2018-07-19 21:02:28 UTC

Coz otherwise they will be converted to SJWy stuff, communism, etc

2018-07-19 21:02:29 UTC

grass roots helping

I mean, if a person helps 1 person to the left of them, and they do the same for themselves
you just stand in a circle,

And then 10 people, help 10 people with problems, whilst only doing 1

2018-07-19 21:02:33 UTC

There is also room for improvement in education, no need to run to religion that fast.

2018-07-19 21:03:03 UTC

Education is ruining itself

2018-07-19 21:03:14 UTC

education, oh man would i drive a sledgehammer at that

2018-07-19 21:03:40 UTC

any educational course that doesn't end up with a "resourceful contribution to society" gets axed

Art should be a hobby, not a degree

2018-07-19 21:03:58 UTC

My trust that education would solve anything went completely away after some years went by

2018-07-19 21:05:41 UTC

well people are educated to accept what is told,

not question what they are told

2018-07-19 21:05:56 UTC

big truth

2018-07-19 21:06:18 UTC

I was educated to question everything. I didn't have an easy life at school ๐Ÿ˜‚

2018-07-19 21:06:36 UTC

but also

2018-07-19 21:06:47 UTC

they should be educated in what contributes to society

2018-07-19 21:07:00 UTC

gender studies doesn't add anything

2018-07-19 21:07:19 UTC

a programmer can be

AI
robotics
software
network
game development
etc

2018-07-19 21:07:31 UTC

If someone wants to waste their money and time for such courses, I say go for it but not federal funding

2018-07-19 21:07:40 UTC

I think Arts could still be a degree. The problem is that it is too easy for people that just want to screw around to pick it up and then blame society for their failures
