@RoflTank why the mk103 muzzle break always mounted at an angle

2018-10-15 23:33:09 UTC

Recoil mitigation

2018-10-15 23:33:12 UTC

magnified optics is more about glass clarity and repeatability of the turrets. most of your prism fixed power optics like the PA prism optics are really durable and built like tanks but don't have as good of glass as something like an ACOG.

2018-10-16 04:33:47 UTC

If the bolt was left handed all youโ€™d have to do is show the other side of the gun
Duh

2018-10-16 04:35:18 UTC

>tiny Mauser action pistol

2018-10-16 04:35:23 UTC

Iโ€™m interested

2018-10-16 04:35:38 UTC

9x25 Mauser export glock 98 when

2018-10-16 04:36:01 UTC

the bolt should be left handed, then you dont have to turn the gun sideways to operate the bolt with your off hand

2018-10-16 04:36:37 UTC

unless you're left handed but they dont matter

2018-10-16 04:43:46 UTC

Ambidextrous master race shall use this pistol to great effect.

2018-10-16 05:37:02 UTC

Does it come in .50 GI?

2018-10-16 05:45:00 UTC

GI?

2018-10-16 06:42:38 UTC

Or .45 GAP

2018-10-16 06:56:54 UTC

whats .50 GI

2018-10-16 13:40:20 UTC

Oh no

2018-10-16 13:43:09 UTC

That's litteraly a shitty Tc contender

2018-10-16 18:37:04 UTC

what are the advantages of a foregrip

2018-10-16 18:38:25 UTC

resting the rifle, controlling muzzle rise, user comfort

2018-10-16 18:38:34 UTC

more importantly, what are the advantages of a foregrip on a bolt action

2018-10-16 18:38:34 UTC

Which kind of foregrip specifically

2018-10-16 18:38:38 UTC

Oh

2018-10-16 18:38:39 UTC

vert

2018-10-16 18:38:40 UTC

Basically none

2018-10-16 18:38:47 UTC

Not on bolt gund

2018-10-16 18:38:49 UTC

Guns

2018-10-16 18:38:53 UTC

why not

2018-10-16 18:39:52 UTC

They have specialized stands for bolt gun shooting

2018-10-16 18:40:02 UTC

I'll fucking hathcock stance

2018-10-16 18:40:23 UTC

Bolt guns get more value out of a bipod

2018-10-16 18:40:53 UTC

why

2018-10-16 18:41:37 UTC

You'll be resting the bipod on something

2018-10-16 18:42:17 UTC

You can change the feet on bipods to suit your AO. You can use rubber feet, spikes, or just legs

2018-10-16 18:43:02 UTC

What would a good alternative to the word/name Mauser be in a fictional setting

2018-10-16 18:43:50 UTC

First or last name?

2018-10-16 18:44:02 UTC

as in the company

2018-10-16 18:44:28 UTC

World war 2

2018-10-16 18:44:34 UTC

Or ww1

2018-10-16 18:44:41 UTC

both

2018-10-16 18:45:03 UTC

Paul mauser was around for a while

2018-10-16 18:45:15 UTC

Hell his company is still around they just don't sell here

2018-10-16 18:48:25 UTC

Bipod reduces muzzle sway by keeping your arms from getting tired. A vert grip does nothing on a bolt action rifle because it's never going to still be climbing by the time you work the bolt. The function of a vert grip is to give you something to hold the muzzle down with during auto fire

2018-10-16 19:04:09 UTC

>the virgin vert grip
>the Chad horizontal grip

2018-10-16 19:36:47 UTC

Mauser is a quintessential German household name

2018-10-16 19:37:02 UTC

And every last German name almost is associated with a weapons manufacturer

2018-10-16 19:37:43 UTC

^

2018-10-16 19:37:58 UTC

If you want to choose a name for a fictional arms manufacturer to parallel Mauser you need an incredibly German name that commands respect on it's own

2018-10-16 19:38:35 UTC

Mauser is not an intimidating name on its own, it's the reputation that does so our context

2018-10-16 19:38:52 UTC

I'd choose something regal probably

2018-10-16 19:38:56 UTC

Like Gottlieb

2018-10-16 19:39:06 UTC

Something with a real world parallel that isn't guns

2018-10-16 19:39:20 UTC

(Gottlieb makes pinball machines)

2018-10-16 19:52:46 UTC

I want the M tho

2018-10-16 23:59:32 UTC

DSA rpd?

2018-10-16 23:59:32 UTC

๐Ÿค”

2018-10-16 23:59:40 UTC

could you source me a parts kit

2018-10-17 00:01:49 UTC

Yes @Stubbs but youโ€™d need a barrel but you can get a blank and get a gunsmith to finish it, also DSA has barrels

2018-10-17 00:02:35 UTC

how much total is it with all the 922r

2018-10-17 00:03:05 UTC

Itโ€™s a US made receiver tho

2018-10-17 00:04:46 UTC

@Stubbs you could build it out for about 1200

2018-10-17 00:05:07 UTC

still 922r whether its US made reciever or not

2018-10-17 00:05:15 UTC

Go reread

2018-10-17 00:05:40 UTC

It applies to *imported* firearms

2018-10-17 00:06:07 UTC

This *firearm* is from Illinois

2018-10-17 00:06:55 UTC

but youd be assembling a firearm from imported parts

2018-10-17 00:07:06 UTC

the reciever is only one of those parts

2018-10-17 00:07:17 UTC

The receiver is the firearm

2018-10-17 00:07:31 UTC

If you feel the need, DSA makes parts

2018-10-17 00:07:40 UTC

does being made on a US reciever exempt it, because thats still every other part importd

2018-10-17 00:07:50 UTC

Yes

2018-10-17 00:08:31 UTC

oh

2018-10-17 00:09:34 UTC

It appears just the number of foreign parts contained is the big no

2018-10-17 00:10:02 UTC

so even on a US reciever it appears that by having ~12 not US made parts, I would still need 2 more US made parts

2018-10-17 00:10:39 UTC

my friend wants buttplug rpg where at

2018-10-17 00:12:16 UTC
