isnt that the core social unit the family? without family what do you have? no means to reproduce
in healthy fashion
At the end of the day, one must focus on their direct family however if you only consider that you're going to end up with a bugman society.
ok I feel ya
Maybe the nucleus should be the nation? And of us the protons / electrons idk
ah
The main point is not that husband, wife and kids is bad. The point is that if you only focus on your own family, we will lose the fellowship of the nation
It's explained well in Action! 4
People are using the idea of the Nuclear family as, move away from your family for a better job, get married, have children and disconnect from your familial foundation.
That's not how it was intended
maybe that's how its been twisted in modernity
It's an idea that was promoted in the mid 20th century.
In the 50s, "nuclear families" still had close ties to their other generations and their communities
also...remember that we have such greater freedom of movement and opportunies thx to massive advances in technology
Goto school, go to college, get a better job and move away from your family
so we can easily physically disconnect from our blood family
which in the past was not the case
thereby we lose that bond
which cannot be replaced by skype and internet
(((Skypes)))
the concept of going to college to get a better job is solid. just b/c your dad was a farmer and his dad and so on doesn't mean you have to be.
you can do better or different
Capitalism, us doing so well finiancially has enabled us to disconnect from a evolutionary pattern our ancestors have followed for millennia.
yes the pursuit of wealth has clouded that pattern
You should stay a farmer I believe
If you don't, who else?
Eventually that kind of thinking will get no farms
technology will advent robot farms...but i just used that an example
modern day fact is that we have much more freedom to move up social ladder
if we want to
in the process I think ppl can lose sight of their roots
Indeed
i want my kid to be 100% better than me and so on
nothing wrong with that
People DO lose sight of their roots.
The majority do.
does
whatever
lol
