and I noticed that some guy was looking at me strange
and then I saw him again a few minutes later, after I got off of the subway
then again, going up the escalator, he walks past me
then he stops at the top of the escalator and waits for me
interesting
lots of people around
and middle of the day
he shows me his police badge and asks me what's in my pocket
bugger
he was wearing plain clothes (no uniform)
so I pulled it off slowly and said, "you mean this?" holding it in the palm of my hands, closed, not actually holding it at all with any fingers, but only letting it rest in the palm of my hand
he was so damn scared, that he nearly jumped out of his shoes
he jumped back and said, "be careful!"
it was closed!
See... Competence
and my hand was all the way open
no fingers were around the knife
if I rotated my hand 90 degrees, it would fall on the floor
and he was so scared
fucking NYPD
LOLOLOL
yes, adrenaline
then he proceeded to ask me why I had it
To cut beef jerky
I told him it was a tool that I use every day...many times.
he asked why I needed it.
So yes, I told him that I open mail, open food, cut food, etc.
and then he begins to lecture me that someone could take it from me and hurt me with it
I told him that if someone wanted to hurt me, they would bring their own knife or gun, or anything
he asked for my identification
I showed him my Texas driver's license, and he said, "oh, you're from *TEXAS*...."
*"....that explains it..."*
I said, yes, I'm from Texas, and that does explain it.
and I left.
hahaha
Asshole
typical low IQ NYC cop.
anyway, it was a long story, but a perfect example of the New York mentality.
and now apply this to guns
You know, that phrase... "Oh, you're from *Texas*"... we carry it with pride in South Africa
