I don't call the laws god I have the position of agnostic but am an atheist cause I don't believe in God
Not exactly. The gaps argument of “what I cannot explain must be caused by God” isn’t particularly of use.
🤔 pantheist, ætos?
I forgot
I would assert in the place of the gaps argument that what I **can** understand exists because of God.
Panentheist specifically
Ahh
Which upon a google search is apparently different
😕

I can remember you found a term for your position but can't remember the term
Panentheist Process theologist
I have a name for it
*wrong*
Jk
God exists. What exists *can* exist because of God but does not exist because God influences it.
It might be, Nat.
I just don’t think it is.
Not super complicated
🤔 so you assert that God exists ?
I assert that God does not exist. I cannot prove otherwise. Therefore I assume then that God exists.
Fair call
Mhm
The opposite call can be made to do the same as proof against God.
The breakdown is that the initial assertion determines the final assumption
You assert what you want in order to support your belief.
I can’t even deny that in my own case.
👋🏼 Gnite
But it seems easier to disprove than prove.
So I opt to disprove.
Night louis
I can't prove that god doesn't exist so I take the agnostic position
I don't know if it does or doesn't
Might get hate for this one but i think it's more of a possibility for the concept of god to be man-made than god existing but ofc that's just a thought and I can't prove it
I can’t disprove God and can not explain why there is any cohesion in the universe. I choose to explain the laws that define the universe by saying that they are the result of God. Yet I can’t assert I would know what God is.
If something doesn't have the characteristics a "god" should then why call it god
The power to define how a universe works seems rather god like to me.
The issue is that people then assert God is a personal intelligence that influenced how the universe came to be.
Well isn't that literally the definition of god
I'd agree, however it seems to contradict all biblical knowledge
