It's really, really hard to lose muscle
well yes, I know that, I've empirically tested it on myself
so the worst thing that can happen is you stop gaining, unless you really try hard to slack off
Right
so don't worry about comittment
if life gets too busy then deal with life
Always time to lift afterwards
my life is not too busy
then lift
💪🏻
also
don't forget cardio
everyone forgets cardio
I have no car
my daily life is cardio
there should be some rule that if you want to lift you first have to be able to run a mile
Too many people are going to die of heart attacks trying to lift some stupid weight because all they do is pick up heavy shit
I wonder, what's the minimum length of a periodization?
most of the things I find are like 12 weeks, can you go shorter?
I honestly need to find some sperg forum that obsesses over this stuff in detail, yet is not chained to dogmatically following some guy's program like it was handed down by God on stone tablets
12 weeks is extreme
I would guess 3 - 4 weeks before restarting your cycle
You don't even need to do exercises that are very different
They just need to work slightly different muscle groups
so let's see... the sperg in the video said to rig your periodization so that you start with ~75%1RM and about 30 reps, and end it with 90%1RM and roughly 5 reps of working set
so if you did that over 4 weeks... that'd be like...
That's too autisticly specific
```week 1: 3x10@75%
week 2: 3x8 @ 80%
week 3: 3x4 @ 85%
week 4: 2x2 @ 90%
week 5: deload```
Like I said, try different things and stick with what works best
what are your lifts at
I don't do regular lifts if that's what you're asking
I use a machine for most
whatever lifts you focus on
One handed bench press type motions
flys
maxed out my lat pull downs
Elevated weighted push ups
I get it, you're trying for weighted calisthenics
weighted pull ups, like I said before
Not really
