@shrub I think all 3 are important but yes learning about actual policy n such is important
Theory is more fun though
@ErnieLanders Yea but from what I've seen people have an unclear view of what being in civil office entails and what they go through etc
Just don't be a centrist, those are the worst kinda people
@shrub I don't care what they go through or do as long as they vote for the stuff I want

And it seems most Americans don't care either aka trump
finally found it
Centrist is another name for Independent/Fence-sitters which are beneficiary in America's duological voting system since they are a large portion, and swaying them will help you get into office @ErnieLanders
you must never slacken
Who here celebrates Halloween?
FPTP voting = dogshit.
@RageAmp (AmyFan) i do
you mean samhain?
That's one thing I wish could be changed our entire voting system.
@ErnieLanders I have a theory that the more inclusive a democracy, the less "activism" is necessary to get others the ability to vote and it grows more apathetic of it entirely, and being apathetic in government as we all know leaves out the check in our system of people voting out "corrupt politicians"
etc
People aren't being a check anymore
Unless it deals with presidency
As well as far more representatives to account for the increase in population relative to when the country was founded.

@shrub a centristis just someone who doesn't care about politics (bad), someone who's too cowardly to admit their politics (bad) , or someone who's too dumb to understand politics
In 1980 senators were represating a few thousand people, now they represent millions.
@Zastava Is it fun?
@ErnieLanders Exactly why they are the largest portion for people to try and sway for votes
The checks n balances don't really exist because congress won't man up and tell the judiciary to fuck off
@RageAmp (AmyFan) If you are a kid or have kids yes
Congress really needs to step up and take some power back
IMO if there were MORE senators/ reps it would lead to a better represenated governments and in turn a weaker one too.
I'm not sure why they knowingly give it away to the presidency or judiciary
@Bueller You will eventually need to build Capitol Hill bigger lol
as more people in charge = more distribution of power at the top so people like say McCain don't have all the power at a crucial time.
@ErnieLanders Not only that think of all the institutions created since the easy and simple checks and balances sep of powers of the federal gov't to other things now that has expanded. They've grow into monsters
@Zastava makes sense, what is your costume this Halloween?
My thought was this
