What is blizzcon?
It's Blizzard's uh
Most christians aren't dedicated enough to be saved, from what I've seen.
conference
sure
well uh
do you mean they don't do enough works to deserve salvation?
or are you saying they don't look saved because they have no dedication
is not the heart deceitful above all else?
they claim to worship in christ yet
there is no true dedication with in them
Okay so you're saying they don't actually believe?
I was trying to work out if you're talking about salvation by works
or works as the outward sign of inward faith
I believe that to be saved you must at least keep his commandments
as that is a common theme throughout the scripture
Well Romans says that it's by faith, not of works
of course, what I was talking about was anecdotal.
```For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.```
Eph. 2:8-9
But you need faith to get to that
Works are good though
Works are great, we are commanded to do them
Ye
and they give us additional rewards from God, both in this life and the next
but not salvation
Truth
```Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.``` - Galatians 5:4
Take that, Pharisees
Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.
Ecclesiastes 12:13
I love the book of Ecclesiastes.
It is the duty of mankind, but it's not the means by which we are saved
As I have quoted, it's of faith, not of works, lest any man should boast
Romans 3:28: ```Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.```
Yes, but faith should be shown through the keeping of the commandments
Well I'm glad that you agree on this now
Keeping the commandments is indeed the way to show the faith within
```Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.```
James 2:18
