You can do anything with stats, but I can attest from my personal experience in the US workforce that during 2008 through 2016 there were layoffs every year at my workplace. After 2016, there was 1 layoff in early 2017 but it was small by comparison to previous years and then we didn't have any layoffs afterwards.

Three things that need to be immediately addressed:
1) Enforce Section 230, no more bias against free speech on media platforms by people acting like publishers but are still receiving provider protections
2) Election reform - Make it a requirement to show some proof of identification, no "mail in ballots" or any other anonymous ways of beefing the vote counts. Doesn't matter what party won this time, if it doesn't get fixed either side can abuse this.
3) Mainstream media needs a huge class action lawsuit for inciting revolts/riots on both sides of the poltiical spectrum. Each false narrative going back to "hands up / don't shoot" (obama era) to now that has been proven, they need to be held accountable.
