Quite the experience
Fair enough
When I spotted trump on marine one they had a peek at me as well in DC
Nice
I really want to spot a B-2
I haven’t gotten the chance yet
They always fly over the rose bowl
Unfortunately here in NB, it’s all about catching them at the right time
I’ve been able to spot B-1s, and B-52s, but no B-2 yet
In July I was able to catch the An-225
Lmao, isn’t it. It’s crazy, on one me mum had pneumonia so that one really sucked
Lucky to get on Ukraine International
I would just to say I have been on UIA
See, Aeroflot is quite epic
I actually flew on BMI before they merged with BA
That’s really epic you flew with them, especially on their B77E
I’m hoping to fly on the PJ ATR 42-500 this summer from YHZ-FSP
They are extremely rare now
They were the precursor to the dash 8 family
The one I spot is tracking right whale populations
It’s a great sim, I did YCH-YHU today
@GoldKeyOboist
The A350-900 is a direct competitor to the 787-10
No the 78X is slightly larger than the A359
The A339 is a direct competitor to the B789
And the A338 is the direct competitor to the B788
The A35X spots more to the B778
The B779 really has no direct competition in the high pax arena
Unless airbus does the A350-1000 stretch
@mangus.aviation
I don’t edit any of my photos
Fun fact
@GoldKeyOboist
The rx10 would be nice, I’m currently saving for a d780
Or you could look at a Sony a7r
Those are insane
I would love one but I want to maintain compatibility with my 600mm lens
For trips I use my 70-300mm lens
The RX10 is epic, but you could get a previous generation Sony A7R
Better MP
Yeah I typically do low cost for at least one leg as well
That could be a good plan
What is it’s aperture like?
@GoldKeyOboist A nice taxi in by K4
Anyone else just find the mclaren 720s to be absolutely fantastic

I agree with you. With the private sector finally allowed to unleash, I would not be surprised if we have a mission to Mars in the next 10-15 years. Space tourism is really no more than a decade away assuming no regulatory issues.
Without the senate, Artemis is going nowhere
I’m honestly not too worried about any sort of democrat interference in the Artemis program
It’s honestly very feasible to get costs down to roughly $100 per kilo witching the next few years. Many seem to have ignored the colossal advances made in the past decade or so especially with SpaceX and blue origin. Additionally, asteroid mining has the potential to be far to lucrative to ignore and as launch costs decrease feasibility increases immensely.
Though asteroid mining is quite reliant on a established presence in the moon to further reduce costs
Yeah, at this point to attempt to detail the Artemis program based off of a diversity issue is ludicrous
China isn’t as advanced as people think when it comes to space. While they are fairly capable, they do not have the private sector driving force the US has
Yes; however, they appear to be gaining proficiency in lunar rover capability but I have not been getting the indication that they are at the stage where they are prepared to establish a lunar base
I view chinas capability on space flight rn much like that if their J-20 program, making progress, but still facing huge hurdles (WS-15 in the J-20s case)
Indeed, they are fairly reliant on US reasearch as they have demonstrated from the J-20 program
Now what’s more likely is a China-Russia lunar program
That’s far more dangerous
They still lag behind, awaiting US innovation to utilize. They have repeatedly shown how they have struggled with aerospace
At least they finally have the ARJ21 in service
Exactly, they have repeatedly shown human life has no value other than CCP officials. They are going to end up having a greater bark than their bite. Their lack of technological innovation in aerospace leaves me not overly concerned of a CCP lunar program which is superior to Artemis
Unfortunately the US has boxes itself in with reliance on satellites. The space force is now gaining additional capability with the X-37B
As long as innovation stays at its current rate, the space force should attain a satisfactory level of deterrence for any Chinese action
Keep in mind the anti satellite capability demonstrated by the F-15A with the AM-135 in 1984. The US does need to ramp up its anti satellite capability but there is going to be a level of confidentiality in which I doubt the public will be aware for potentially a decade after new programs are implemented. I am going to snooze now but nice chatting
It’s the 21st FYI
F for respect for JFK can only come tmrw
@Dr Badass PhD
A hard choice out of the three. The Gripen E is arguably the best value; however, that being said the rafale has an impressive payload, though the Eurofighter is arguably a slightly better air superiority fighter than the rafale
The F/A-18E block III with the EPEs is just insane tho
I would argue the F/A-18 family is the most underrated fighter family at the moment
The 14 just doesn’t have good AOA performance
The F-14 is a great interceptor and long range strike, but honestly the hornet is a far better match to counter fighters such at the Su-35
The YF-23 should have also been procured, change my mind
The F-14 would be slaughtered
In BVR it would be a decent fight
But once a close quarters dogfight is brought into the equation (yes they are rare) the 14 would just not have the AOA for the job
Agreed
The US made a huge mistake by not producing more F-22s. They should have developed its air to ground capability and cut 350 F-35s in exchange for another 200 F-22s
The B only exists for the USMC obsession with STOL operations
In Canada we have neglected the CF-18 replacement so now we will be flying our CF-18A and Bs until 2032
I would like us to procure ideally 70 F/A-18Es and 10 Fs block three along with ten growlers
And if we had more funding then we could also do a split buy with 50 F-35As
I have been in a facility which produces them, we have quite the infrastructure in place producing them
We also produce hard points
Honestly the F-35A would be a good fit. At this point the Trudeau government needs to stop being indecisive
But there are some serious concerns regarding arctic operations with the single engine. We learned well that with the F-104 (although the F135 is extremely reliable) that a single engine can be a great weakness
Our new frigates appear to be getting tomahawks which is epic
