trust me when i say i have seen these low paid under skilled employees make mistakes that could potentially lead to multi car wrecks

well there is a few factors in automotive that lead to this mess

the big 3 having huge financial collapse or being bailed/sold out was the beginning

many many skilled technicians flooded the market

the raised retirement age along side financial recovery trouble means a lot of my co workers are 30+ year veterans in the field

and all of them took massive pay cuts to keep working

and then we get to the general expendability of workers and how modern businesses do not feel a need to retain or train an individual

they just hire into needed positions and drop anyone who ends up low morale or upset with their treatment

and unfortunately automotive unions are the worst offenders of predatory unions

those unions bleed the workers hard and do the bare minimum to serve the people they represent

and you cant just start a union, if you are in the jurisdiction of an active union they storm in and take over your workers

so its not pretty either way
