McConnell, from what we heard yesterday, is looking favorably upon impeachment. The party will not try to whip Members and Senators for the votes happening now and those to come. It seems that, as I believe I mentioned on this channel earlier, he sees impeachment and conviction as the way to remove Trump's influence from the party. What is notable is that of McConnell does vote to convict, he will likely bring enough votes with him to reach the needed 2/3 of the Senators.
