a few weeks ago I dropped some vegetables I grew off at one of my coworkers house

and his mom just had her foot amputated from diabetic complications or something

when I saw "Mayo" thats all I could remember

I grow a lot of peppers tomatos berries zucchini artichokes peas and egg plants

my yard has shit fertility so I had to build a giant planter box in my back yard and fill it with soil

fucking clay deposit right below my lawn so everything i try to grow besides grass and some bushes i planted drowns

i do a lot of composting but i cant save the fertility of my yard at all

its not like the minerals within the soil thats the problem its the irrigation

i have heavy clay deposits in my backyard so water just sits below the surface and drains very slowly

which in turn causes everything i want to grow to die

i planted 5 fruit trees a few years ago and only one of them survived past a year because I guess i picked the magic spot

ive dug a few irrigation drains for the water to flow out of my property and the city built over them lol

i have some of the shittiest local government you can imagine

they built a green belt right behind my backyard's fence

god i wish

the house i grew up in had well water

im curious if the same thing happened to the neighborhood i grew up in

as i get older i feel so much worse for losing the property i grew up on because i realized it was such an agarian dream

1.5 acres of land local home owners association that doesnt breath down your fucking neck less than a mile from a lake with good fishing my own well water

when the market crashed in 08 and we lost the house to the banks they sold it to some shitty protestant church that turned it into a halfway house

tore out all the land scaping we did and cut down all of my trees
