Maybe its not the anime but the ideology of those people doing it.
Not all weebs are inherently fascists and pedophiles. This is like how trump calling all Mexicans rapists and drug deal is racist, cause not all Mexicans are like this.
Leftists only alienate future comrades when they say stuff like "You have no opinion if you have a pfp" or "Anime is anti communist" or some reactionary bullshit.
Especially, some animes are actually fairly leftist, like Akame Ga Kill which shows class struggle and toppling a fascistic dictatorship.
