same
but the thing is i just burn through headphones it seems
so i just jump from one shitty pair until the next
What else can you embed in a desk
minture models of smaller desks
oh
fukk.
meta.
have a miniture kitchen with a parrot cooking pasta just for fun as well
or some ricey light display wall, a computer with a glass cover, secret compartments, or build wood leaves to make it transform
um what else
blackjack and hookers
black jack [ x ]
hookers [ ? ]
wrong cha
shit
stop trying to inject your fetish shit into our tech discussions dude
it's getting annoying
^
hookers [ x ]
done and done
ooo
headphone hook
gud idea
yeeeee
OH MAN
and rice out your headphones with your babe of choice
AMAZON NOW OFFERING FREE SAME DAY DELEVIERY IN TORONTO
GOD BLESS AMAZON
i am not on the amazon train anymore
they actually overdrafted my account with auto payment
am only doing prime cause student discount
i was on that as well
once you are off that discount is done
they just keep hiking the cost of prime higher and higher
just go on hackfourms
and you have to force yourself to find a reason to use it
buy a lot of 1000 edu emails
prime student 4 lyfe
man this guy must be a professional student
Or just know an IT guy at your school
that works well too
also twitch prime now covers a good chunk of my prime member ship now
subbed to one super austistic guy on twitch now, it's great
i would never use twitch enough to validate that
i watch the occasional csgo stream and thats about it
also rice
and built in speaker
I only watch a handful of streamers, subbed to ice posiedon
dont ask me why its directed that way though
hi
um
sup
To be honest I don't like those things
any good deals?
I mean it's neat to look at but.... fuck man calm down.
check the <#194407663717580801>
Yeah the desk pcs look cool and all
just eh
not a fan of glass pc desks
but they are like desk embedding embodied
heh heh embodied
I was thinking of making a shitty hidden compartment
but that is probably beyond my abilities
Doing this counter-desk hack is probably pushing it to begin with
yeah, probally takes some carpentry magic
Well I could do it
well you can just skip the "computer desk" idea, and just do the other stuff
but would look like shit
like the speaker, the peripheral ports, and such
Just make a mock up in google scetchup, label all sizes n shit
flatten it, then go to home depot and be all
"I want these cut out of MDF"
and they do it for you
then you just glue it all together
and perhaps
fuck screws, just glue
the power of bonding
looked up bonding for images, and just got pictures of teeth
if you reeaaaallyyyy wanted to you could drill holes for dowels 'n shit
then buy "replacement" screws from ikea and mount using those
you mean for like a towel?
you know those wood pegs you use to connect shit from ikea?
those are dowels
ah
my idea of a dowel was a single rod with two small holes drilled on both sides
and
will be my desk
will use like 3 of the legs, and probably get some L brackets to mount it to the wall
i mean, it seems rather simple, for $75 you could probally get a more ... complete desk
>the Olov leg
75" counter though, not 98"
>not the square, nickle plated Sjunne
i mean the desk i bought was second hand and i got it for like under 20
WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME LEMON
open your fucking eyes, matty boy
it's 2016
I AM A POOR MAN
they're both $15 doll hairs
at least in Amero bucks
Oh nevermind, the Sjunne is 20
those fuckers are $20
I think I got them for 15 in-store
stupid ikea names
also need me my adjustable height
in case I feel like making my desk into a standing desk
Could also get some bookshelves and use those as legs
me irl
took me 6 hours to assemble a bed frame and a nightstand
im looking for a 25" wide shelf now
lmao
lol
#deskwoes
k
nope
?
just gunna use desk legs
*table legs
fuck using a shelf
yeah.. thats just sounds like a bad idea
no depth, and cheap
it's a shame you can't just buy a draw assembly thing from ikea
just mount the rails to L brackets and mount em to the underside of the counter
i mean i've seen some like 'mom and pop' sites that will sell you the completed version for a high cost, the parts and instructions for a medium cost, and just the plans for a small cost
>Euro style
lmao
think it was amish or one of those homecrafts people who havent died yet
>euro style
should find that video of initial D music driving through a fire
hm
you think that http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/40246712/
would look tacky with the counter?
was counter
wait
no
not that counter
the counter has that kind of stone look that might not work well
not with a brown wood looking drawer
too dark ye
yeah
rather counter too light
thats better
but what are you going to put inside it?
idk
I would have 75" of desk space, so probably nothing
75x25
you would be suprised how fast it goes without utilization
ie why im looking into grommets
would also prolly need to get a J Channel for cables too
unless you want spagetti everywhere
j channel?
is that the long pathway that hooks in to the long side?
sort of like a cable pathway?
ah yeah it is
i have one at work that i was just using
i like it
yee
in fact the desk at work has alot im looking for
grommets on the sides and on the top right of the desk surface
Or shit like http://www.cableorganizer.com/adhesive-base/
so you can easily go from side to desk
seems like w ierd solution
i tried branching cables before and ultimately becomes a mess as you need to either manuever new things back into the branch or old things out
those are neat if you want to be able to see the cables all bundled tightly and shit
a clamp would probally be better imo
so you can release a section, take out or add to it
and clamp it back on, and work your way to the next clamp
without having to drop it all, or cut the tie
jesus you should see the rats nest at work
its like a 1 ft area below the floor
full of forlorn and twisted runs of networking, power, steam vents, etc
sounds like a fun time when you need to trace a single cable
oh boy, is it ever
you pull one panel up
move 1.5 ft
trace
pull another panel up
move 1.5ft
trace
i swear the senior guys must have been having a laugh
and not telling me where the toner and probe was
yeah someone has one
seen them use it
just not buying it myself
i want it...
but,
idk
if i had some expendable money i might
actually
could use those mounts there i linked
and velcro
but its like a gable to see if i would get the range or the trace i needed
velcro is nice
kind of wish that package included the tube they picture
albeit not a pink one
only issue would be moving the base if you needed to
i need those rolls in my life
mind you
$3 for 10
could just buy like 50
are these velcro rolls , i cant seem to tell
idk what TAK-TY(R) is
velcro is a brand name afaik
well its like a house name that everyone uses to refer to the material
and i think it is
if you want vecro
i wonder if this site is actually decent to buy from
i mean i like using it to explore stuff
I dunno
jesus
270 bones
well it is a 1170 pack
also that tube you're looking for is called a "loom"
idk why that is the default...
wth you can only buy multiples of 1170 packs
who would want like 10 x 1170 packs of a one wrap velcro cable
idk lol
i mean unless they just make shopping confusing and its just per velcro, which i guess 0.23 cents isnt bad for one
i mean it seems on the expensive side, but still a low cost per
yeah i have seen some looms before, but never used one
but it seems like it would be nice
not sure on the tube look though
ye
I was running looms for cars at factory I was working at over summer
not too much fun
they have looms of yellow, white, grey, black, but no brown
wtf
had like 40 seconds per car to run around 15-20ft of it, and snap them down
0/10 never doing again
i mean are they difficult to 'zip' up?
however that works
Wires were already bundled in the loom with zip-tie like things on them
or it just gets tedious with low time and having to do it repetively?
just there was like 50 of them to snap in per car
bzzzzzz
worker bee
ye ;-;
