Even as a kid I didn't want to have a dog, because all of those tv shows that were meant to teach me about responsibility towards animals kinda backfired, because (as a kid) I became convinced it's too much of a burden and responsibility for me to take care after an animal.
So I was always negative about having an animal. But then one day one of my uncles came with a puppy and told us his dog gave birth so he doesn't know what to do with them, so it's either we take it or it will be send to "the farm". My dad obviously couldn't resist. Guess who was supposed to take care of him.
