howdy
Hello
Electric universe guy, hi
Electric earth dude?
Yep
Great stuff
Boring
Tell me when MrGoodBerries talks @รtos
Heโs talking, lol
He is on mute
Good try
Only for you, lmao
O
I can hear him
Lmao
Lmfao
๐
For the record, an ugly dude putting melted Ice cream on his dick @Providence
Hy
Hey
He wasn't ugly
Fuck you
Also a half naked fat lady squishing a dude
He was, Fluff
Wtf
No he wasn't
It was more memey than anything
He's hot
Oof, I must be ugly af then
Can be
I want to give my opinion but I don't want to see the pic
I have been told I look like the gay guy on some show on Freeform
I can see if I can find a pic of him and you can make judgments based on that
:)
Nat, the emoji we have on earth debate is that dude
Oh, I mean he's not in a good pose
Iirc the name of that site was Emil something
Vaguely like this guy apparently
Hair is way different
Is he 25 or 5
Idfk because I donโt think I look like that
But yeah, I suppose I look rather young
๐
๐
Now I'm curious
Letโs put it into perspective
I was a junior
And a girl in 8th grade hit on me
She thought I was her age
Translate that to ages please
._.
I don't get grades
1st grade is usually 6 years old
So 13
And I was a Junior, usually 16
Oof
Except I was 15 at the time
I swear I feel like รฆtos is the male white version of me
๐
I HAVE PROOF OF A REAL LIFE DINOSAUR
#Giants
Uh
Cathexis
sup
I donโt really want to go into you
Just saying
lolz
._.
That can't be taken out of context at all, cathy
Go within me so hard
Come within
OH GOD
<:snapsnap:484956825863585792>
PLEASE NO
lol
literally my ex girlfriend
Ex girlfriends
Ha
I just have girls that I got off the ground with
And then left
And moved
Thousands of miles away
._.
Interesting
It makes sense
I take just over a year and a half to get close
At which point I usually am moving away for other reasons
Handy
๐
lol
That's not true though Nat
he was a priest turned jesuit and he dedicated the book to the pope
๐
Wasnโt that DesCartes?
Not Copernicus?
๐ค
nah
it was Copernicus
Darwin also had the approval (wasn't actively hated) of the church
plus the quote in the beginning of the book says: "The terrestrial motion of the earth is no more than a hypothesis used to explain phenomenon and should not be taken as literal reality".
Oof
just sayin
Wasn't till biblical literalism came about that everyone hated Darwin
its just a model
Thatโs called Luther, Nat
See
Luther?
Cathexis gets it
Martin Luther
We only wish the end was to be witnessed with our own eyes
The end that was supposed to happen like
Years ago
Multiple times
You're in a simulation in a computer in the cloud
So?
So... you and I don't matter
The watchmaker argument? Oof
Good argument
I believe in God for a completely different reason
Can we have an argument without kicking people lol
I feel like Iโm the only one who thinks about the matter this way whoโs in the channel, lol
Havenโt I told you before?
Nvm, Iโll say it anyways
I know you have a different reason but don't really know your stance
I believe in God as what defines the universe. I donโt see anything around me as evidence for God except that physical laws exist. Why do they exist? I call that God. Nothing else convinces me. Nothing is truly evidence. Itโs just my take. God is an impersonal Force that allows physical laws to exist. At the very least thatโs how it works in my mind.
Time will not matter when we are connected to the AI
#SimpleRick
@รtos wouldn't that make the bible junk?
Maybe
I see
Canโt exactly prove the Bible
Not going to pretend to be able to either
So your definition of god is different than the actual definition of god
So what do you reckon happens when you die?
@Providence so you're a Jehovah's Witness.
No idea
Oh shit
More likely than not, Iโll just cease to exist
Not super difficult to imagine
Thats a reasonable position, รฆtos
Itโs a different concept to assert that God is personal than to assert that God exists.
So effectively you have an agnosticish attitude, who attributes forces we don't understand to an impersonal and uncaring force called God?
I don't call the laws god I have the position of agnostic but am an atheist cause I don't believe in God
Not exactly. The gaps argument of โwhat I cannot explain must be caused by Godโ isnโt particularly of use.
๐ค pantheist, รฆtos?
I forgot
I would assert in the place of the gaps argument that what I **can** understand exists because of God.
Panentheist specifically
Ahh
Which upon a google search is apparently different
๐
Lel
I can remember you found a term for your position but can't remember the term
Panentheist Process theologist
I have a name for it
*wrong*
Jk
God exists. What exists *can* exist because of God but does not exist because God influences it.
It might be, Nat.
I just donโt think it is.
Not super complicated
๐ค so you assert that God exists ?
I assert that God does not exist. I cannot prove otherwise. Therefore I assume then that God exists.
Fair call
Mhm
The opposite call can be made to do the same as proof against God.
The breakdown is that the initial assertion determines the final assumption
You assert what you want in order to support your belief.
I canโt even deny that in my own case.
๐๐ผ Gnite
But it seems easier to disprove than prove.
So I opt to disprove.
Night louis
I can't prove that god doesn't exist so I take the agnostic position
I don't know if it does or doesn't
Might get hate for this one but i think it's more of a possibility for the concept of god to be man-made than god existing but ofc that's just a thought and I can't prove it
I canโt disprove God and can not explain why there is any cohesion in the universe. I choose to explain the laws that define the universe by saying that they are the result of God. Yet I canโt assert I would know what God is.
If something doesn't have the characteristics a "god" should then why call it god
The power to define how a universe works seems rather god like to me.
The issue is that people then assert God is a personal intelligence that influenced how the universe came to be.
Well isn't that literally the definition of god
I'd agree, however it seems to contradict all biblical knowledge
Not only biblical
You prove my point
Pretty much anything we know about god
You reject traditional knowledge of God and yet use him as a substitute for things we don't yet understand
Religion and God have been convoluted into being something that is the same, yet the concepts are distinct.
It contradicts the definition of god
It contradicts a definition of god
Likely many definitions
The question is, why is it that what we know works?
Not, โwe donโt know how it works, so itโs God?โ
String theroy innit
fuck string theory
If you want to get very deep into it, that would be one way to go into it.
Pepper ๐
String theory has no proof, though, ironically
string theory has no proof and no way of prooving it
It explains things, but as an explanation, it has not been observed
Neither does God (edgy take)
ooof
but yeah, no one uses string theory
Of course God cannot be proved, lol
I never said one could
Cause he isnt real
The meaning of god is pretty much consistent is all religions we know of tbh
I would argue that proving God would be impossible regardless of if God is real or not.
I'd disagree with you Fluff
Eh
She isnโt particularly wrong
They arenโt the most consistent
...
But they do tie in a bit
Proving God is impossible
Soldz, why is the earth flat if there is no God?
๐ค
Math and logic
Yeah Soldz why are you FE?
Lmfao
Math and logic
FE doesnt need a dome to be real
Usually it's the hard religion peeps who are into it
i would argue the general concept of a god is pretty consistant
No, it doesnโt, Soldz
God isn't the exact same in every religion, nat but the gist of it remains
All "gods" have different characteristics in different religion and they act in different ways but the gist of it is pretty much same
But if you want to use what FEs have known must be rejected in order for FE to exist **as your proof**?
