It is usually better to fix things before they actually break, and take out other things with their flailing

2017-08-31 21:15:13 UTC

My Daddy leased a new car

2017-09-03 01:48:12 UTC

Which model?

2017-09-03 10:08:36 UTC

@Alex Jones If that map's true then the UK is really screwed

2017-09-03 10:32:15 UTC

@Maximus How so?

2017-09-04 01:35:03 UTC

This will probably not go anywhere or get any attention but I just need to say it. Why is it whenever I look around articles for local racing they always focus on 3 classes out of the 5 that tracks have on a normal night. Modifieds. Sporstman. Prostocks. Always in that order without fail and in a desending nature that puts most if not all emphasis on the mods. I understood that the big names bring bigger crowds no matter the situation. If it is football, basketball, baseball or anything. But when there is a video of what happens in the pits it almost certainly only going to show those big names with the big pretty haulers and crews in fancy pit shirts working on their cars. But what really happens on that next row over? What's going on with that street stock that shows up early every week if it's raining or not in hopes they don't have a rainout. Or the four cylinder driver/owner that worked an extra 10 hours of overtime last week to fix his car to make it here this week. These are the guys who in my opinion make the sport what it is. They build their cars from the ground up. Not buy them from big chassis manufacturers. Or have a professional come in once every other week to change their setup. It feels like those classes are the unwanted bad habit at some tracks. When the big names are done for the night that big crowd goes home. Even with the stands almost empty and a car with a body that's been used and abused for the passed 3 seasons still goes out on the track. Not for that big payout. Because those don't exist for these guys. Not for the fame of being a racecar driver. Because nobody knows their name outside of their division. But because they just want to race. This is a shout out to all of the little guys that tow their cars with a dolly. Or pay the crew with a burger for helping that night. Because I believe you don't get enough applause for everything you do. You're all the reason this sport still thrives the way it does.

2017-09-04 01:35:24 UTC

Some Kikebook post, but he's right

2017-09-04 01:42:53 UTC

@Alex Jones people are drawn to the spectacles, occasionally an underdog gets some recognition, but usually thousands of hours of work go into the cars that become popular. for every car, or shop that becomes popular, there are 10 that lost in the same category to it.

2017-09-04 01:44:17 UTC

I agree it's just fucking do they have to be... so cavalier? About it

2017-09-04 01:48:15 UTC

The outliers always get the vast majority of attention. The same level of performance in a sexier body will get exponentially more attention and in some cases, wads of cash

2017-09-04 01:57:52 UTC

My problems is the fucking normies, who can't tell the difference from a LS and Windsor

2017-09-04 04:50:48 UTC

Those exist in every discipline. People wonder why they can't play any games properly on their PC which only has onboard graphics. They probably wonder why they can't lose weight fucking around on a treadmill and doing curls

2017-09-05 22:53:46 UTC

so im setting up security questions and answers https://puu.sh/xsuza/45b984e315.png

2017-09-06 01:04:20 UTC

willys jeep?

2017-09-06 01:40:49 UTC

What about it?

2017-09-06 01:41:57 UTC

That is a Jeep that was literally made during WW2

2017-09-10 00:54:41 UTC

@!papa I get the feeling you are inexperienced with both RWD platforms, and manual transmissions

2017-09-10 00:55:05 UTC

you got it @Leaf me alone

2017-09-10 00:56:39 UTC

So given that, the most beneficial vehicle for you would be (relatively) low performance, cheap, and very neutral in handling

2017-09-10 00:57:19 UTC

i cant really afford anything past 8000 dollars so yeah @Leaf me alone

2017-09-10 01:00:37 UTC

@!papa have you looked into the Nissan 180sx?

2017-09-10 01:01:20 UTC

not really tbh

2017-09-10 01:02:35 UTC

not bad pricing tho

2017-09-10 01:03:11 UTC

It has garnered a lot of fame among drifters, but it had a pretty humble start as a weakly powered platform which was controllable at the limit of traction

2017-09-10 01:04:26 UTC

it doesnt seem bad

2017-09-10 01:04:41 UTC

hopefully they got one in wisconsin or minnesota

2017-09-10 01:04:47 UTC

maybe illinois

2017-09-10 01:05:34 UTC

I'm not trying to offend you, but if you aren't accustomed to fulll throttle meaning you car is sideways, then you won't benefit from more hp

2017-09-10 01:06:12 UTC

i cant be offended im not that smart in this area bro

2017-09-10 01:06:29 UTC

That is good

2017-09-10 01:07:26 UTC

kek

2017-09-10 01:08:02 UTC

If you have been driving a yaris, then a RWD turbo manual car will be a significant change, even if it has ~200 hp

2017-09-10 01:09:12 UTC

ive driven RWD just not a manual RWD

2017-09-10 01:09:39 UTC

hmm

2017-09-10 01:10:02 UTC

have you driven auto RWD in the winter, or offroad?

2017-09-10 01:11:08 UTC

in that RWD i did like 110 for a good while thougj

2017-09-10 01:12:23 UTC

Have you ever done a burnout, or a doughnut?

2017-09-10 01:12:57 UTC

no

2017-09-10 01:13:02 UTC

id fuck up my tires

2017-09-10 01:13:09 UTC

Yes

2017-09-10 01:13:40 UTC

But the point is that a manual transmission gives another dimensions of control, and responsibility

2017-09-10 01:14:24 UTC

yeah i wouldnt wanna drift in a truck or do burnouts

2017-09-10 01:15:14 UTC

If you were paying for it

2017-09-10 01:15:28 UTC

truck tires are expensive as fuck

2017-09-10 01:15:48 UTC

each one is like 250 or 300

2017-09-10 01:16:27 UTC

cheap compared to the 10k laser cut suspension parts

2017-09-10 01:16:43 UTC

still kek

2017-09-10 01:17:03 UTC

obviously this is well above our heads

2017-09-10 01:17:42 UTC

what

2017-09-10 01:18:00 UTC

about drifting trucks

2017-09-10 01:18:01 UTC

???

2017-09-10 01:18:08 UTC

They exist

2017-09-10 01:18:21 UTC

they also set records in hill climbs

2017-09-10 01:18:51 UTC

yeah

2017-09-10 01:19:13 UTC

when i was doing 100 in a truck i got over anything

2017-09-10 01:19:22 UTC

That is so far removed from most people, it is absurd

2017-09-10 01:19:43 UTC

trucks climbing hills?

2017-09-10 01:20:07 UTC

trucks climbing hills very very fast

2017-09-10 01:20:19 UTC

kek of course

2017-09-10 01:20:39 UTC

the pickup im talking about is a v8

2017-09-10 01:20:47 UTC

I think that truck has 3000+ ft/lbs of torque

2017-09-10 01:21:01 UTC

that semi kek

2017-09-10 01:21:12 UTC

i have no reason for a cdl

2017-09-10 01:21:32 UTC

unless im going up near stevens point to harvest potatoes

2017-09-10 01:22:52 UTC

I only posted that because you said you wouldn't want to drift in a truck

2017-09-10 01:23:31 UTC

Speaking for myself, I could have a lot of fun in that truck on a runway or track

2017-09-10 01:24:14 UTC

oh

2017-09-10 01:24:33 UTC

well when i did 100 in a pickup it was on a small backroad

2017-09-10 01:24:45 UTC

pretty stupid but fun

2017-09-10 01:27:12 UTC

Would doing 120 in a properly set up car, on a track be less fun?

2017-09-10 01:27:44 UTC

no because you dont have to worry about cops or other cars

2017-09-10 01:29:24 UTC

Well, to actually experience that, you need to get involved with your local car clubs, and participate in track days

2017-09-10 01:30:02 UTC

i can get pulled over on a track??

2017-09-10 01:30:08 UTC

no

2017-09-10 01:30:37 UTC

you can get black flagged if you are driving like an idiot

2017-09-10 01:30:45 UTC

thats gay

2017-09-10 01:30:59 UTC

i wanna drive like a dumbass in peace

2017-09-10 01:31:12 UTC

buy or build a track

2017-09-10 01:31:15 UTC

hence rural backroads with lots of trees

2017-09-10 01:33:03 UTC

I have worked with people who have gotten fucked up by disregarding rural street signs

2017-09-10 01:33:25 UTC

i never disregarded them yet bro

2017-09-10 01:34:09 UTC

You are in a yaris, not a 550hp subaru impreza sti

2017-09-10 01:34:24 UTC

i never did this in a yaris

2017-09-10 01:34:41 UTC

i did this in a truck

2017-09-10 01:34:44 UTC

BRO

2017-09-10 01:35:23 UTC
