**Q**: Why can't I see any channels?
**A**: You must read the <#719770967542333442> and then <:9360_pixel_yes:726877001138569286> them to gain access to the rest of the server.

**Q**: What if I did not know the rules to the server?
**A**: Ignorance of the rules are no excuse for breaking them. If you choose not to read and obey the rules, then you will be given a warning, kicked, banned, or muted.

**Q**: What happens when I get a warning?
**A**: The warning is logged in a mod chatroom. 3 warnings result in a 2 hour mute, 4 warnings will be a 12 hour mute, 5 warnings result in a 12 hour ban, 6 warnings will result in a 2 day ban, and 7 will be a perm ban. Warnings disappear after 10 days.

**Q**: What happens when I get kicked?
**A**:You can rejoin but is is suggested you cool down. A kick is not permanent BUT if you come back to cause trouble, you will most likely be banned without extra warnings.

**Q**: What happens if I get banned?
**A**: That depends on the ban, but if you believe you did nothing wrong, we do have an appeals process. To begin the appeals process, DM a Moderator, Senior Moderator, or Admin.

*If you are in contact with a banned member that wishes to appeal, send them this link.* https://forms.gle/TZkbN1irBQWECU5cA

**Q**: Why are the mods censoring so much?
**A**: Unfortunately, cancel culture is running most media these days. This was made blatantly obvious to us with the shutdown of the Zeducation subreddit. With us currently on the cancel cultures watch list we must be careful and protect this discord from also being shut down. The mods are simply trying to keep the server active, friendly, and here!

**Q**: Why can't I post comments in the meme channels?
**A**: The meme rooms are thoroughly sorted through and screened by the mods. We use the memes for the Meme of the week contest, and they are also checked by Tyler for use in his videos. The more talk that happens there, the more work we have to do to give you all credit for your memes.

**Q**: What are the roles here and how can I get one?
**A**: The roles are:

-*Voice Moderator* – This role is for members that are active in voice chat and show the ability to maintain control when Zeducated members and Moderators are not there.

-*Zeducated member*- First step to becoming mod. Zeducated member earn the role by being active, following the rules, and helping out the server in general.

-*Moderator*- We all know what this is. They run the server. Don't mess with them or ping them unnecessarily. It will not end up well for you.

-*Creator*- Partner sites, video, image and meme creators. These guys make the videos, art, and memes we all love!

-*Subscriber and Patreon*- These are the financial supports of Zeducation. Without them, we would not be here.

-*Occupational Roles* – These are roles that you can gain by verifying. Please read <#743681899456626743> channel for more information on this.

- *Meme Roles* – There are tiers of meme roles that can be gained from winning Meme of the Week.

**Q**: How does the meme of the week contest work?
**A**: The mods review and save all memes they like throughout the week. The best ones are then posted in the meme of the week contest room (under the meme category) to be voted on by the server on Sunday. The winner gets the MemeLord role.

**Q**: What is nitro and what does boosting the server do?
**A**: Nitro allows you to use animated emojis it is a monthly subscription paid to discord (it also comes with 2 server boosts) Boosting the server shows your support to Zeducation and in return you gain access to the subscription chat rooms. For more information on nitro look in your profile settings.

**Q**: Why do we have the "30 Second Rule" for memes?
**A**: We have this rule for a few reasons.

First, a meme is meant to be a snapshot in time. Too many posts were five minute videos or entire YouTube videos. Moderators do not have time to watch every YouTube video posted in a meme channel if they are all excessively long. As a matter of ensuring rules can be enforced, watching long videos quickly becomes an issue.

In addition, to server rule enforcement, Tyler does search the server for memes and hopes to use memes from the server in his videos. A five minute YouTube video will not be usable in Tyler's videos, which means the inclusion of the video in the meme channels does not make sense from that perspective.

When discussing, a time limit of 30 seconds was determined to be the most consistent time to be both a snapshot in time, still short enough for moderators to watch the video to ensure rules are not broken, and short enough for Tyler to potentially use in his videos.
