Like with the trend of social justice these days I dunno if pedo is going to stay a mental disorder in the DSM. Like a secret group of gays in the 70's collaborated to change the definition of sexual deviance in the DSM and they succeeded. I learned about it from a NPR podcast so itโs not anything right leaning as far as I know. โAlixโs story details the activities of a closeted group of gay psychiatrists within the APA who met in secret and called themselves the GAYPAโ So who knows if thereโs not a secret pedo-qabal working to change the definition again. https://www.thisamericanlife.org/204/81-words
I'd actually like to see a pie chart of that if you can conjure one
Among all U.S. adults aged 18 and
over, 96.6% identified as straight, 1.6%
identified as gay or lesbian, and 0.7%
identified as bisexual. The remaining
1.1% of adults identified as โโsomething
elseโโ (0.2%), selected โโI donโt know the
answerโโ (0.4%), or refused to provide
an answer (0.6%).
CDC, 2014. Owing to social trends, probably an uptick in 'identifications'.
Also, bisexuality isn't real

@Joe_Sheph based
I'm just saying
I'm actually kinda surprised it's 1/20 people is gay
it's a category greatly informed by trauma or lifetime phase
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1556756/ re: pedophilia
I would have said like 1/50 or 1/100 in experience
though I'm not in a big city
yeah; well I think it's actually closer to 1%, but I pulled CDC because people believe in those figures
so at the top end, it's 2%, including all the alphabet characters
_"phallometric test sensitivities"_
wut
lol
Like
DICK MEASURE TEST
someone had to do the signal analysis for that
like no joke
big time
the academies truly have poisoned language
dude, i laughed my ass off during graduate school
instead of "um" or "uh"
people's buffering sound was "that's problematic"
no one says what they mean and no one believes what they say
I just want to see the math of how they did the test
like threshold
how did they normalize
like
I think it was sample groups; but were they cities?
rural / urban balance
I mean like what sensor did they use
the nitty gritty
or flippy floppy in this case
Yeah weakening of language is a thing
Have a good one! Going to be a crazy week.
