Get a hops cleaning kit they have a universal one with different calibers and gauges at Walmart for like $9 lasts forever
The oil smells terrible so don't get it on your skin it doesn't come off easily
And make sure to look at what type of shot it can handle lol being that old after you clean it inspect it for cracks or anything that's going to Elmer Fudd you
Im honestly scared to shoot it lol
Eh maybe some light bird shot or even cut the shell to just fire the wadding just as a test
Tie it to a tree and put a string around the trigger
That's a good idea lol
I don't know much about the older models but I'm guessing they where probably used for turkey and whatever rounds they used for that is probably okay to start out with
You could always put on a motorcycle helmet and a ballistic vest then take a video of it so we can see what happens
The main thing would be barrel cracks don't know much about nickel steel its probably a bit lighter I'm guessing but you gotta remember people make survival zip guns out of pipe steel and nails that fire slugs so you may not have to worry to much
Not advocating attempting that
This is my newest gun btw
This is my new gun
Is Robert Roseberry the face of "fuck communism" or what?
That dude was pissed at RSF. We should recruit him.
@Lucilomar - FL is that authentic where'd you get that
No it's a polish repro, you know I had to get the polish one. Since I'm polish.
I've been looking on gunbroker for one that's not stupidly priced
When I get home I'll send you the link
Eh they are probably all the same anyway I've been looking around on gunbroker seems to be the Craigslist for guns my only concern is running the number after I buy it lol
Or just not buy anything from shady negros
Atlantic has some good priced ones But they're usually sold out. However they usually refill their stock kinda often
In the ethnostate we'll all wear cowboy hats while oppressing communists.
Gunbroker has them in our area but they are pretty pricey people know they are desired
My brother in law used to collect AK's and got his mostly on Atlantic
I'm looking for other odds and ends to add to my collection but money is always a pain
Course guns don't do anything other than grow rust unless we use them or train with them all the time so it's a little lower on my list of shit to buy
Speaking of what's the shelf life of 7.62x39 usually kept in a safe indoors? Sorry for a stupid question
@Kevin I have a case in my tool shed that's about 15 years old. Shoots fine.
I mean my brother in law has several thousand rounds stored in his garage and said they're fine. I personally like getting one or two guns if a certain type and training with them
I also have a lot of .22 h points and longs
.38 hollows and domes I got from my dad one brand you can't even buy anymore because it's not a humane round or some shit like that but they are about 20 years old at this point all climate controlled no point in wasting hollows or specialized ammo at the range
I have side arms long guns the sks ect I like my 38 special a lot I train with that the sks I haven't had time to get into a range
@Lisa Jo TX-WD tells me I should ditch the 20-30 round mags it came with and my own research tells me that's true to stick with the original 10 round mag but it's a bitch to load I can tell you that
Other than a AK a shotgun is also next on my list nothing fancy either just for home close quarters defense and I'll need to train with that a bit
I think Remington makes a home defense model correct me if I'm wrong one company does with a folding stock or something along those lines under $300
It was a while ago I was looking at them
I think its called a shockwave.
But some cheap Chinese one will probably do the same job lol just the sound of cocking one of those things is enough
