That's an amazing name.

2018-08-27 22:11:17 UTC

But I admit, I am highly sceptical of anyone with a name like that.

2018-08-27 22:11:31 UTC

man of Hoff

2018-08-27 22:11:32 UTC

duh

2018-08-27 22:11:34 UTC

We're not entirely sure

2018-08-27 22:11:43 UTC

What does the name Luckenbach mean?

2018-08-27 22:12:01 UTC

Even though my last name is pretty common knowledge I deleted your comment.

2018-08-27 22:12:10 UTC

And my previous one.

2018-08-27 22:12:30 UTC

Fair enough

2018-08-27 22:12:48 UTC

My name is as far as I've seen, quite unique

2018-08-27 22:13:33 UTC

@Deleted User It's better to protect our identities.

2018-08-27 22:13:57 UTC

It's also important to note that most 'berg's from Sweden aren't Jewish at all.

2018-08-27 22:14:06 UTC

I'm daily doxed, but regular membership absolutely should.

2018-08-27 22:15:02 UTC

@Deleted User Does Steiner mean "stoner"? 😉

2018-08-27 22:15:04 UTC

2018-08-27 22:15:16 UTC

We suspect it's some play on the farrier profession. One who fits the hooves of horses.

2018-08-27 22:15:32 UTC

It could also mean "man of Town"

2018-08-27 22:15:40 UTC

Townsman.

2018-08-27 22:15:41 UTC

ah

2018-08-27 22:15:44 UTC

Mines an old British surname that's odd and hard to guess

2018-08-27 22:16:02 UTC

@Deleted User Perfidious?

2018-08-27 22:16:06 UTC

😉

2018-08-27 22:16:09 UTC

Damn you!

2018-08-27 22:16:15 UTC

knew it

2018-08-27 22:19:17 UTC

@Sorohan - IL not sure. Doesn't really resemble any German words.

2018-08-27 22:19:37 UTC

I guess bach is like a river though, but smaller.

2018-08-27 22:19:44 UTC

A stream?

2018-08-27 22:29:08 UTC

A name like Stone Mountain is very typically J

2018-08-27 22:29:30 UTC

Kind of like a fake name

2018-08-27 22:30:17 UTC

Real European names are occupational, locational, or “son of”

2018-08-27 22:32:18 UTC

Mine is locational.

2018-08-27 22:34:05 UTC

^ relevant

2018-08-27 22:34:34 UTC

Great explanation of how Euro Jewish surnames came about

2018-08-27 22:35:03 UTC

They even subvert our names. <:sad:366743316475281408>

2018-08-27 22:36:35 UTC

They were forced to choose names if they wanted to live among us. As desert people they used a 'Schlomo son of Herschel' type of naming system.

2018-08-27 22:37:09 UTC

Tfw should have made them leave instead of adopting our names

2018-08-27 22:37:33 UTC

Yup there ya go

2018-08-27 22:38:42 UTC

When I was in highschool, the student body was highly J. These were very normie Js that we’re hard to spot. I learned to be able to spot them by their last names even when they were not obviously J. Names thah were in German but sounded obscure were good give aways. Names like “Koenig” (King in German) very unauthentic name for a German

2018-08-27 22:40:00 UTC

Lol yeah the most uppity jews chose "fancy" names like that
