Always practice good opsec

2018-11-16 16:54:58 UTC

"Your optics, what you say, your charisma, and however motivated antifa is to get you fired" Most of this is not things you can control. What if someone ties you to Eli Mosley? We don't control the press, they do.

2018-11-16 16:55:14 UTC

@NateDahl76 and how much your employer actually cares. And how much their customers care.

2018-11-16 16:55:43 UTC

@missliterallywho and how much your customers customers care, and how much your customers customers customers care

2018-11-16 16:56:16 UTC

your employer won't give a shit about retaining you if his customers decide they won't support someone that employs a "nazi" as ordained by the media

2018-11-16 16:57:11 UTC

Yep

2018-11-16 16:57:15 UTC

Not denying that

2018-11-16 16:57:27 UTC

That stuff is outside of one’s own control entirely

2018-11-16 16:58:14 UTC

If what you're saying was true 100% of the time (obviously it is true some of the time, maybe even the majority) then Johnny Monoxide wouldn't still be an electrician, and many other tradesmen as well.

2018-11-16 16:59:00 UTC

@missliterallywho Johnny Monoxide had all the legal protections in the world and still described the experience as hellish

2018-11-16 16:59:47 UTC

He was in physical danger on the worksite and (according to him) tricked into signing away some of his rights by his employer who said he was offering him time off.

2018-11-16 16:59:57 UTC

Alex McNabb as well

2018-11-16 17:00:21 UTC

@ThisIsChris I am not arguing in favor of self doxxing, to be clear. Just saying, to be doxxed is not time to give up and crawl in a hole, if you catch my drift.

2018-11-16 17:01:01 UTC

Well yeah there's no point in crawling in a hole if you're already doxxed. But if you need to crawl in a hole to avoid being doxxed that sounds smarter to me than not crawling in the hole.

2018-11-16 17:01:20 UTC

I was implying suicide.

2018-11-16 17:01:29 UTC

Accosta got his press pass back.

2018-11-16 17:02:03 UTC

Go ahead and delete that if need be. Hence implying instead of stating initially.

2018-11-16 17:02:04 UTC

Risk is definitely a personal choice. Most people shouldn’t be labelled as less smart because they accept more of it.

2018-11-16 17:02:32 UTC

OK yeah suicide doesn't solve anything. What I'm pushing back against is the idea that you can just do X Y Z when doxxed. I guess you you can sit in a cheap apartment and might qualify for welfare and food stamps to sustain you. Not really sure what to do with that. Hard to have kids and flourish in that case.

2018-11-16 17:03:28 UTC

I’m not saying it’s a simple solution to keep your livelihood, I’m saying it’s not always as bad as some make it out to be. Chances are, you’ll be fired and you’ll definitely experience some form of social rejection

2018-11-16 17:03:43 UTC

that sounds pretty bad

2018-11-16 17:03:52 UTC

I didn't mean to make it sound easy. My initial post was a quick counter argument to someone coming up with bad ideas and little hope. It was a jumping off point, not a complete case for xyz.

2018-11-16 17:04:27 UTC

A *lot* of social rejection. Like probably everyone you didn't meet through explicitly dissident right groups will disown you except your parents and siblings to some extent.

2018-11-16 17:04:56 UTC

Lol I did that myself when I adopted our ideas

2018-11-16 17:05:08 UTC

@missliterallywho what do you mean?

2018-11-16 17:05:34 UTC

@ThisIsChris I disappeared on everyone I knew except family

2018-11-16 17:05:34 UTC

Yeah, I kept Jewish friends after being doxed for having views on that stuff. I had blacks tell me they agreed with me on a lot of issues. I didn’t experience total social rejection at all

2018-11-16 17:05:57 UTC

Maybe there is a generational difference, political correctness is big with millenials

2018-11-16 17:06:06 UTC

But I had a history of disappearing on everyone every 3 years or so anyway

2018-11-16 17:07:12 UTC

@NateDahl76 you were doxxed?

2018-11-16 17:07:15 UTC

being doxxed is more than about losing your job. Say you manage to keep it. Unless you live in an area / are already apart of a community that is at least in some way sympathetic to our views, your long-term relationships with friends, neighbors, family & just people in the community in general can be seriously damaged. Maybe it'd be ideal if they agreed with us but I'd assume we want to be active members in society

2018-11-16 17:07:17 UTC

When I made huge ideological shifts forward I shed my entire social life and started over. I don't expect to be needing to do that anymore.

2018-11-16 17:07:20 UTC

Among my peers.

2018-11-16 17:07:27 UTC

Nothing posted

2018-11-16 17:07:34 UTC

Was hushed

2018-11-16 17:07:43 UTC

H a n d l e d

2018-11-16 17:07:50 UTC

So people knew your views but it wasn't publicized.

2018-11-16 17:08:46 UTC

Yep. Had one of said peers recently try to dox me recently as well. I threatened a lawsuit and called his parents, and he stopped. These situations aren’t cut and dry

2018-11-16 17:09:44 UTC

He contacted all of my friends, and I lost nothing

2018-11-16 17:10:22 UTC

@NateDahl76 So it was just the one guy?

2018-11-16 17:10:32 UTC

He didn't publish it on any antifa sites?
