I've seen alot of friends go from girl to girl with nothing to show for it

It's a problem with the culture today

short term gratification but long term negative consequences

I've probably saved thousands of dollars by not getting caught up in that scene lol

these dudes go to music festivals with their girlfriend and end up paying like $500 for a weekend

because they travel out to montreal, buy booze, the actual tickets plus meals and accomidation

that's alot of money

meanwhile you can wait till your married and take your wife to churches in europe and watch the sunset in the meditteranian

not 500 but if you've been to like 3 music festivals

that's basically the flight over

it also freaks me out how little savings my peers have

I havent even held a real 9-5 and I have a pretty nice stash for my age

meanwhile some guys at uni this year had $2 in their entire bank account

living alone is a huge cash sink as well

my school lets me use the regional busses for free. It's a pain to get up early but I'm saving tonnes of money by not renting a place

honestly university is a scam

the **only** reason I'm going is for a slip of paper

because most of the jobs require a degree

yeah my uni is more focused on teaching you the skills to get certs

I'm thinking of getting some certs over the summer now that uni is out of the way

I did some introspection this week and came to a really dark place but now I'm using that to motivate myself

Powershell is actually crazy if you know what you're doing

Yeah we worked with active directory this semester and I really enjoyed it

I have a desktop and a laptop, so putting linux on my laptop was a no brainer

Running mint right now but I might switch to a more challenging OS just for the experience
