No, the vetting server is working fine
I was not aware of any rocket chat server being connected to the victory link
I had all three in rocket chat before. The only reason it stopped working is that I updated RC today, and I had to redo each server
What was on the server?
the shop, mumble information, and the guides
My mind is blown lol
I had no idea that the link also worked as a rocket chat server
yeah i just opened it on my browser and its exactly the same thing I was looking for
I mean, worked until now
That's pretty cool actually
that it was a thing in the past
It was probably an accident or something
I mean, how does RC itself updating work on your end? Like, should I have not updated RC?
I'm of the opinion that you should always be connecting to rocket chat through a web browser, rather than their app. Because we control the web browser link but they control the app itself. They can't spy on you when you use the app but they can decide to ban our server from working on the app.
But to answer your question, you can update RC whenever, it doesn't effect server-side stuff.
There have been recent changes made by the tech team that probably stopped victory from working as a server.
Both apps could suddenly stop working if the company behind rocket chat decides to blacklist us.
We asked that everyone stop using the mobile app because of security vulnerabilities other than what I described. The mobile app will be disabled in a few days but the desktop app will continue to function.
It's no issue to use the mobile app as long as you remember your login details in case they ever blacklist us.
desktop app*
Sounds good then
:cowboy:
how are you doing? after the demo and all
I'm doing okay. My roommate thinks he spotted some antifa outside our house yesterday, but I still haven't been doxxed publicly.
If I am doxxed I will just move to HQ in Texas. I don't like NY anyway.
Not released publicly but antifa has them.
All of them from that parking lot?
Yes
Dang, I assumed, but I didn't know for sure if that was the case. Are you available to talk on mumble rn?
Unfortunately not, I'm conducting interviews.
I type faster than I can talk though if you have any questions
Gotcha, I guess did you find out what all happen with the parking lot situation? like how it was found and why the other guys guarding the cars didn't help you? I'm not sure if I'm privy to this information, but its really been perplexing me
All that info falls under the need-to-know principle so I am not allowed to talk about it at this time
But I presume Thomas will give everyone an explanation in the near future
What I can tell you is that one confirmed infiltrator was removed on the day of the attack
Despite him not being physically there it's safe to assume that he was very connected. Antifa are not "random autonomous groups" like they claim in public. The fact that the dox obtained by the washington infil was released by Atlanta Antifa is clear evidence of their broad collaboration.
I assumed he wasn't connected because there was no way for him to know the location of the park we were at, but obviously I could be wrong about that. Ultimately I'm glad you're safe though buddy. When you told me that you had a gun put to your face I was absolutely shocked.
I was too. Antifa usually fight with batons and pepper spray. But one of them did shoot that Proud Boy in Portland a few months ago so I guess they are escalating.
Its just bullshit, for whatever reason, that you didn't at least have back up to call the police for you.
Do you think its likely that info relating to the plates will get released eventually?
Depends on if antifa can make it interesting. If it's just plate numbers and maybe names, they probably won't release. They want pictures and jobs and a bunch more info before they release a dox.
Thats what I assumed. Like they wanna strike when the irons hot rather than reveal their hand early and now the person cleans up all their public info before it can be found
We have guys who were doxxed and nothing ever happened because the dox was so boring that it doesn't even rank on google.
Thats what I was thinking of yeah. I hope changes are made to prevent that kind of property damage in the future
They definitely will be
We obviously need more people to stay with the vehicles which will be easy now with all of these new applicants
Thats one factor that would improve the situation. There are a variety of things that could be changed, some of them easy imo and some of them more difficult decisions. I know some people think rental vehicles should be used at vehicle exchanges. That sounds nice, but I fear that the increased cost of event fee would make that difficult. Event fees would probably be upwards of 60 bucks if we went that route
Depends on how many members we get and if Thomas decides to allow the public to donate
I'm doubtful he would. I think he would see it is compromising on principles. I think it is fine to accept donations as long as its made expressly clear than any and all donations have zero sway on decision making, and use of donated funds is entirely up to the discretion of the organization.
I agree on both points. In that circumstance I don't think anyone would care that we take donations, but also Thomas probably won't do it.
I think it would be worth it. I agree though.
Was @IC - Jesse AR made the IC?
Yes
okay
