Hey man, what time were you wanting to leave on Friday? I’m just curious if I need to take a full day off or not.

you're talking about the 3rd? I'm going to be available the whole day. If it doesn't hurt your pocket too bad i'd say take the day but I can pick you up when you need. if we're there by 7pm that should still be enough time to set up camp and unload/set up whatever we need to.

I have more flexibility in my schedule than you do, whats your situation? I still don't know where we'll be going so i'm not sure where the most convenient meeting place would be. For now I Figured I'd just be picking you up from wherever is most convenient for you.

Well I can plan accordingly. I guess my main concern is just what time we need to actually be at the camp with our role

If you took off early, cool. If not, i think we'll be okay. I know we get up early for these things so I would like to be set up to camp at a reasonable hour. I'd definitely want to be there and setting up by 7pm

I plan to camp in my truck for the event. Are you set up for camping? i have tents I can bring and probably will bring as backups but the more self sufficient we are the better for the organization as a whole.

Yeah I believe I have everything I need, I will double check things though.

Other items of consideration:
Mess kit
Non-perishable snacks (protein bars, dehydrated fruits, jerky etc.)
Camel Pack
Plenty of spare lights (Headlamps, ballcap lights, camp lights etc)
First aid kit (An IFAK if you have it, probably over-preparation)
I have body armor, I'm going to bring it. Almost certainly over-preparation, but I figure I have and if I don't wear it to this what did I pay all that money for? If you already have it it'll only cost you the not-inconsequential extra weight of carrying it. but on the same note; shinguards, kneepads, jockstrap & cup, all of that is 99% over precaution but I just don't see how It could hurt to bring, especially if we're on shield duty.

just make sure it all fits under your jacket, pants etc, we want to look tight and uniform, not like larpy idiots

*the camping items will stay behind, im just talking about body-protection

Good to think about, the only issue I have is I still only have steel plates so they are on the heavier side

Same for me. I've worn it before at PB stuff, and those were all day marches. This shouldn't be more than an hour of street time plus travel.

Which direction makes the most sense for you? I can meet you at a middle ground or if where I am is better I can stay close.

Its really not a big deal to come to you. You always seem to have to drive a crazy distance.
