For that video I think Tim just seized on the word "diversity" and ran with his own stuff and didn't address Tucker's claim.

2018-09-11 01:37:20 UTC

And the different factors are caused by different issues

2018-09-11 01:37:59 UTC

Diversity isn't a Strength, only Diversity of Thought is

2018-09-11 01:39:01 UTC

There's no federally recognized official language, so the only incentive to speak English is that enough other people speak it, and clearly that isn't the case. There's also the fact that this further disincentivizes integration. I could stay where I'm at where they speak my language, or in could learn a whole 'nother language to fit in over here

2018-09-11 01:39:20 UTC

This is just one of many factors that go into assimilation, cultural cohesiveness etc

2018-09-11 01:40:48 UTC

Without communication you end up with enclaves and segregation.

2018-09-11 01:40:59 UTC

Right but how do you fix that?

2018-09-11 01:41:50 UTC

Without a universal translator you need to get people communicating in a common language and then integrate them.

2018-09-11 01:41:50 UTC

here in quebec theres an election soon an dthe seperatist party want to introduce a law that mandate that english speakers that go to the college system here have to do a full semester in french

2018-09-11 01:41:54 UTC

i am very conflicted

2018-09-11 01:42:18 UTC

>living in Quebec
Found the problem

2018-09-11 01:42:31 UTC

because if youre a migrant comign in i understand them wanting the education to pertain to the language used there

2018-09-11 01:42:37 UTC

Canada should just drop both English and French and take up some African language.

2018-09-11 01:42:39 UTC

XD yeah theres english places here

2018-09-11 01:42:46 UTC

Then no one can be happy!

2018-09-11 01:42:51 UTC

like extra generationsa

2018-09-11 01:42:54 UTC

and i love it here

2018-09-11 01:42:55 UTC

Okay, but the US doesn't have an official language, so on what basis are you going to fix that shit?

2018-09-11 01:42:59 UTC

@Malt_Hitman Canada is more likely to adopt Mandarin.

2018-09-11 01:43:05 UTC

^^^

2018-09-11 01:43:16 UTC

I think being able to communicate is important, but I don't think it's a deal breaker. Likewise, you could tell me in english why you are about to kill me and I wouldn't feel all that great that you can speak my language.

2018-09-11 01:43:19 UTC

and im anglophone so i fucking hate teh divisive language laws bullshit

2018-09-11 01:43:25 UTC

that's probably gonna change though, at least for the real estate folks

2018-09-11 01:43:27 UTC

Are there that many chinamen in Canada?

2018-09-11 01:43:42 UTC

Not as a whole, but look up Richmond BC

2018-09-11 01:43:44 UTC

tbh i know more asians than black ppl

2018-09-11 01:43:54 UTC

That's not hard

2018-09-11 01:43:57 UTC

and i live in ubmfuck nowhere

2018-09-11 01:44:02 UTC

I hear Victoria B.C. is heading for majority Chinese status in a generation.

2018-09-11 01:44:04 UTC

*bumfuckk

2018-09-11 01:44:55 UTC

See here there's actual failure to uphold the law

2018-09-11 01:44:56 UTC

thats the thing with quebec is in some ways like with freedoms they dont have the stick that the rest of canada has up their ass but at the same time

2018-09-11 01:45:08 UTC

becaus eof those freedoms you get more of the extremes on both ends

2018-09-11 01:45:12 UTC

Richmond has non English signs and the government does nothing about it, even though that's illegal

2018-09-11 01:45:50 UTC

ill just find myself i cute slanty eyed rich chigga to marry

2018-09-11 01:45:53 UTC

and ill be good

2018-09-11 01:46:16 UTC

If NAFTA is not renewed, expect the trend to accelerate as the budget shortfall from loss of trade with US will have to be made up somehow, likely with increased trade and capital flow from China.

2018-09-11 01:46:37 UTC

yeah :/ not keen on that

2018-09-11 01:46:49 UTC

mind you id prefer the migrants from there

2018-09-11 01:47:21 UTC

but economically speaking we got to do buisness with someone...
