It was typical of Japanese animation at the time.

thats really what made the 90s xmen so good was the stories were just good xmen stories that were decently close to the comics

pretty much everything from the comics got a chance

I think that's what made the Phase 1 MCU movies good, too.

maybe the stories werent exact, but pretty close

they kept the spirit of the characters intact

sure a few details need to be shifted, but the characters were the same at their core

Sounds like MCU will go off the rails starting with the Captain Marvel film.

the possibility is there, but im hoping it wont play out like that

and it just ends up being a good movie

Well, Captain Marvel is the embodiment of SJW Marvel on the comics side.

in the comics it has started to play out that way

it wasnt always like that

but i cant disagree thats where it has went too at this point

i have said it since capt marvel first got announced into the mix

she is a cool character to a degree, but tends to get boring after a while

but pushing the character like she is godmode avenger is annoying

she wasnt ever really that

I never knew Captain Marvel as anything but a voice in Rogue's head.

using capt marvel to spring board the kree skrull was is a good story option

i mean thats her story

kree skrull war can be a good story

so i still have hope this is still leading to a good set of movies

i probably woudl have picked someone different to play carol personally

I honestly have even less interest in Captain Marvel than in Black Panther.
