Aurenheimer was elected president of the GNAA, however he was not its creator. He was however instrumental in the formation of Goatse security and could be considered a founder.

I believe aurenheimer himself will fully acknowledge he was not the GNAA creator, though by all accounts he is currently trying to flee to syria in a small sailboat
